Somehow I Manage - The Michael Scott Story
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Cyprus_Knolls</b></div><div>Didnt realize till after I submitted the "trade", that the salary Georgie is at is the same as Nedeljkovic. Was thinking they could battle it out for starter, and worse case if Stevie Y pulls out the fleece blanket we will send Georgie to Edmonton, Maybe Toronto, but i tend to leave the CapFriendly hornets nest alone when it comes to dealing with the Leafs.
Get the sense that we (Drury) likes Georgie enough that we arent willing to torch his career supporting BUF, ARI, SEA for a higher selection pick.</div></div>
I liked Georgey ever since he punched out D'Angelo. As for CFACGM Leaf fans? Be prepared for them to offer you Mrazek back in any Georgiev trade. LOL

Neither. The cap will jump once the players repay the owners for covid in 2 years. Also we have 3.5 in buyouts coming off next year. Well be fine

This team is way better lmao. Copp + Strome is far better than Tavares at this point

Remove the 4th from the Rangers if you want to have a shot at moving Nemeth.
Unless Kravtsov gets included in a bigger package deal, then they are better off just holding onto him. He doesn't have high value individually. Better to try and get him in the lineup next year to boost his stock. Going to need cheap Contracts, anyway.

If Lias got us a 2nd, Kravtsov is too. If were scratching reaves ( which I think we should) trade his 1.75, forget blackwell, 1.5 and resign Copp.

Cap is 82.5M, I think we resign Copp for 2C IMO. That’s why we gave up the kings ransom for him. 4-4.5M x4-6yrs. Him and Trouba being good buddies I see him staying

Kravtsov immediately gets on the next flight to Russia and never suits up for the Sabres.

I for one wish Barron gets NYR ice time in replacement of Howden. Howden hasnt shown growth/promise/change to either move up a spot off that 4th C position but DQ seems to think otherwise.</div></div>
FYI Sagecoil is arguably the biggest homer on this site.

Avs decline. Strome's caphit next year doesn't fit into our cap structure. And even if it did we wouldn't want him, because he's terrible and not a 3C.
Not sure what you're saying about Nichuskin in your comment, but if you're implying that his value is similar to Pateryn you're gravely mistaken. Nichuskin has waaaaay higher value than Pateryn who's a glorified capdump really.
Appreciate the offer though, thanks.

Yeah I mean I don't think the Rangers have contributed in developing any one of their players positively. But at this point Brett Howden is essentially a copy of Sam Steel just with Sam getting favorable everything (linemates, PP time, coaching scheme), aside from that they've been the same exactly player in terms of on-ice effect, defensive acumen, shot generation, etc. Not sure why Ducks fans haven't adjusted their valuation of Steel down or our valuation of Howden up.
As for Heponiemi, he's gonna have the smollboy tag until he can prove he can stick in the NHL with his frame. Which he hasn't been able to do so.
I like Barron but he's not particularly quick, more of a possession power F, and in the context of how the 4th line is deployed in terms of just strictly uncoordinated dump/chase, I'm not sure it's the best environment for him to succeed.

Rangers pretty comfortably decline all these. Maybe Heponiemi gets considered but the addition is on the wrong side,

avs decline, they want nothing to do with Strome, hes not very good at C, and in the 3C spot he would be a disaster

Next year off-season
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Cyprus_Knolls</b></div><div>Alright, fair enough. But EK @ 7 years for 11 mil??? That would put him well into his mid/late 30s. How would that effect the team once those ELCs become bridge deals or long hauls? Who do you lose to alleviate that cap crunch? Figure Krav, Fil, and Lias should be in the 4's from a contract standpoint, therefore Id imagine we'd being losing one of them.</div></div>
With all the talk that there will be amnesty buy-outs coming in the early 20s, I assume that's how they could deal with the contract once the time comes. Although, the league has grown a lot since Vegas and hopefully will grow quite a bit more with Seattle, so a big jump in cap is not terribly unlikely
