If Lohrei is in a deal there’s definitely not a 1st also going back. Lohrei straight up for Hanifin would be the deal.

Hanifan makes Lohrei expendable. Hanifan doesn't help replace DeBrusk who's probably gone in the off season where Lysell could.</div></div>
Yeah I don’t understand why Boston fans would be hesitant on dealing Lohrei for Hanafin, if the goal is to sign him. Top 4 would be solidified for the next 4 years minimum and he’s not going to sit in Providence that long waiting to play. He’d be wasted on the 3rd pairing. If you can deal him for a signed Hanafin and basically make it close to a one for one, pull the trigger.

He's an RFA with arbitration.

Boston openly laughs at that deal. You’re not going to get their best prospect, a top 5 prospect and a 1st for a rental.

Crosby in Bahston
Why in god's green earth are you going to trade away a first and two top prospects for the worst years of a 37 year old's career and pay him almost $9M? Not to mention the Bruins are against the cap so they would need to trade dollar for dollar on the cap hit. So we'd have to move out nearly $9M in salary.

I don't see the Bruin's dealing Carlo. They need a it more defensive depth going into the playoffs not less. I think they'd 100% be interested in Lindholm just not for Carlo.

It’s funny people complain about the farm system being depleted and wonder why yet every trade I see on this platform trades away any picks we have before round 4.

Go Big
Retention makes the money work. They're going to be flush with money next off season and the capo is going up a big amount. It is only one year of retention after this one and they can absorb it. The alternative would be to send Forbort to Chicago for no compensation and ask them to do the retention on Ully in return.

Great Goaltending and D but worrying offence
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>tupty</b></div><div>The likelihood of the Bruins getting a real 1C next offseason is dwindling by the minute as players re-sign. They won't be able to get one for a goalie alone. I'm starting to wonder what they should do next offseason assuming they can't get a high-end 1C. Maybe go after a high-end UFA wing and try to get back into the 1st/2nd rounds of the draft? Scoring will definitely be an issue this season, and I don't think that will change in '24-'25 by either standing pat or chasing middling center UFAs.</div></div>
Zacha had the potential to be a 1C we will find out this season, I'm assuming the hope is Poitras matures into the 2C, leaving Coyle down in the third line or maybe shifting to wing if Beecher matutes into a 3C. I think this year is going to be make it break for how the future B's look. Any way you look at it, they will go into 24/25 with a **** ton of cap space to make things work.

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>RavensShadow</b></div><div>The biggest problem with Ulmark is his M-NTC. If they move him it's just another obstacle. Ullmarks M-NTC is only 15 teams and realistically if you are trading him to a contending team, I doubt he will put up a fuss. Especially considering if he doesn;t want to approve it he becomes the 30% of the 70/30 split

No **** right. Bussi easily fills the back up role going forward and Kyser and Dipeitro are more than serviceable. Plus they also have Svedeback who had an incredible year at Providence College. The goalie depth in this system is ridiculous.

Zegras is only looking for $5M on a 2-3 year contract. 100% if they could swing a trade they should just give him the $5M over 3. He'd still be an RFA at the end of that and they could offrer sheet him and either work something out or if someone comes in to snipe him get significant compensation by letting him go.

ANA has Gibson and Dostal, no real need for a goalie.
BUF could trade UPL but, he's at least worth a 3rd and they have a 3way goaltending battle going on, UPL could be the best one for this coming year, why trade him now?</div></div>
Gibson has been terrible the last two years, His GAA was 3.99 last year. It's a big contract but he's not a top guy now. I think him being the 35% behind a top goalie's 65% would be better for Anaheim, with that said, B's aren't trading Swayman, if they ship a goalie it'll be Ully.

Taylor scored 0.59 PPG. Fabbri scored 0.57 and Kubalík 0.56 and Rasmussen 0.52. Even Berggren with his limited icetime scored 0.42.
Hall is only under contract for two more years and we won't be contending for those two years after which he will be 33 years old and we're unlikely to recouperate what we paid for him.
I'd rather offer Bertuzzi a contract should he become UFA.</div></div>
Hall was playing on the third line in Boston, his production was a reflection of that imo. When the playoffs rolled in he was on fire. I think a fresh start with a team in their top 6 pulling more minutes will help his numbers.
