I heard that Muzzin adopted a cat from Detroit, and that the Wings are the only team that he'll waive for, because he wants to raise the cat in it's hometown. He's willing to jump from his own hometown team just to bring the cat home.
Given that Detroit has a hole on LD, they should move a young top pairing RD for him. Mo will suffice.
That works, right?

Only rumours are the ones made by Leaf fans hoping to get rid of Muzzin's contract.

1sts are always far more attractive to teams, but those 2nds tend to be good for rebuilding a weaker prospect pool!
if it’s to restock the prospect pool do it but if it’s for trades then i would keep that 1st.

Pretty trash for CGY imo. They shouldn't trade Tkachuk period, but especially not for a pending UFA and a pretty low first. Especially when losing a good D in the process too.

Bouchard Long Term and Potential team
The Oilers would be lucky if Bouchard signed that deal. More than likely tho his agent will bet on his client go for a 2 yr bridge deal and then after that demand a massive payday similar to Nurse.

Skinner has done a great job in the NHL so far. He'll be better next season for sure. He's 6-6-0 with .913 sv%
Husso is 15-4-3 with a .928 sv%.
Blues defense:
Scandella - Parayko
Krug - Faulk
Mikkola - Bortuzzo
Does that look like a great d-core to you?

All of Skinner losses are because of Dave Tippett and how he teaches people to defend. Under woodcroft, he played on game and that was a shutout.

Let's not be Montreal fans here. Husso's value is that of a 2nd round pick. However, it will take more than to pry him away.

If we hired Zito and not Holland
I find a lot of this hard to follow without any concrete evidence as to how to justify what Zito would have done over Holland.
Of note, Marino never signs in Edmonton. He and his brother ran actual spreadsheets to find him a better fit as he was behind 2-3 names by the time he would have been leaving college. Maybe the return would be better if Zito could better evaluate Marino but he's never an Oiler in this scenario.
The results of this squad in the bubble would still be contingent on the coaching. Tippett lost both of the Chicago and Winnipeg series by being out-coached and by overclocking his top players. If Tippett is still at the helm I don't think much changes in hindsight.

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>DONTGIVEAPUCK13</b></div><div>So you remove Yamo and I think you create a hole at 3RW.
I'd be happy with Crouse and Chychrun for Broberg as it really gives Oilers depth and flexibility.
Holloway tales Kane's or Nuges spot next year.</div></div>
I think Chychrun is very injury prone and he's not far from being oscar klefbom. From what I have been hearing Arizona is trading him because they are afraid he will get hurt and become worthless. Chychrun is not currently playing due to injury and has been playing about 60 games a year(Klefbom). I don't want to sell the farm to buy a lame horse.

if we take on debrusk and you get yamo you'd be paying us a couple picks (Yamo > Debrusk and you gain cap space)</div></div>
Not sure either player is really producing that much. Let’s face it Yamamoto is on a line with the leading scorer in the NHL and has a paltry point total. Yamamoto has 5 points in 20 games. DeBrusk while not playing top six minutes has 6 in 17. We will definitely need a sweetener BUT I see your point. At best it’s a straight up hockey trade.

Jake DeBrusk
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>DONTGIVEAPUCK13</b></div><div>lol My thoughts are trade value makes sense.
Line up wise I would move McLeod back to the AHL. Foegele is too god for 4th line minutes and Shore is your 4LW when he is back</div></div>
I agree. Shore has played like the ideal 4th liner. Teams looks better when he is in the lineup. Kassian looked good last game, but I think later on into the season, he's best served in a bottom 6 role. Nice to have him bump into the top 6 whenever the team needs a new look though.
If they made a deal for DeBrusk, I think this would be the lines:
Hyman-McD-JP
Nuge-Drai-Yamo/DeBrusk
Foegele-McLeod-Yamo/DeBrusk
Shore-Ryan-Kassian
