Bruins fans have saved my sanity about the goalie market in a world where every other fanbase is convinced their goalie is worth the Cory Schneider price++

What? No Mercer Holtz and our 10th OA, like the other teams looking for their Gs? :sarcasm
Sounds good, don't break him and send him down when you're done with him!

Devils will drive to Boston and pick Ullmark up themselves. DEAL, will it happen idk, but keep in mind Ullmark might have NJ on his no trade team.

Deal or no deal Colorado
They paid a 1st for Kuemper to outbid EDM. Ullmark better be the truth for that amount. However, Colton isn't Soooo good he's irreplaceable. Plus if Captain returns, Colton is one of three likely cap dumps.

Anderson: 2016 1st (30OA) 2017 2nd
Martin jones: 2016 1st (29OA) Sean kuraly.
Clearly you haven’t done enough research, all these goalies above were moved for 1st plus and I’d say only 1-2 of them produced as well as Ullmark has over the last 3 years.
Ullmark averages a .923 SV% / 2.30 GAA / 88 wins in a 130
Games. I don’t see how he doesn’t return a 1st</div></div>
Fair enough happens more than I realized. Still do not think he gets anywhere close to the return in this deal though....

They have to keep Bussi on the roster, which is an easy decision if you are carrying 23

B2024 BOS NJD OTT
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Dekes</b></div><div>I’d rather have peeke than Marino.
Peeke fits our 3rd pair and what we want from it more, he’s physical and causes havoc. Bruins need more guys like that and Wotherspoon and peeke as a pairing will do work on opponents if we can continue to move on through playoffs. They are the type of bottom pairing we needed last season against Florida.</div></div>
Well in this scenario you would not be keeping Marino either but I get where you are coming from.

Goalies don't have that kind of value, especially with only one year of term and it's unlikely LA throws in the towel on PLD after one down year and retains to boot.

My guess is NJ isn’t on his No Trade List.
If a second is all that’s offered, it’s a pretty easy decision to keep him and go with the goaltending situation that has been a primary reason they have the best record in the NHL over the past two years.
Seeing the level of goalie play this year in both the playoffs and the regular season, I am comfortable Ullmark should be wanted. There aren’t many proven guys out there unless teams pay up.

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Dekes</b></div><div>I think San Jose would prefer picks.
Orlov does nothing for them plus they have no more retention slots to try and move him for the most value. JK they just don’t need, he needs to be surrounded by stronger players to potentially blossom, he won’t progress playing in San Jose next to middle 6ers</div></div>
I think the bones of a trade are there, SJ definitely needs someone that can moonlight as a top pairing dman better than Ferraro. However I think the gap between Ferraro and Orlov is far far far smaller than the gap between Sturm and JK whose contract is a giant gamble although it he has (i think) a decent buy out. I’d still want a pick or prospect coming back

Looking towards next season
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Dekes</b></div><div>What do you think realistically would be his cost to acquire?
I wouldn’t mind him on the bruins.
Bruins need another strong LHD so lindholm can focus more on offence rather then defence. He’s been taking on a lot of the tough match-ups with mcavoy and doesn’t get as much offensive opportunities as he did last season.
I doubt they go back on Chychrun. I want no part of OEL personally Dillon and Gavrikov would be good fits for me next to mcavoy, they aren’t good transitional dmen but are solid once in the zone and mcavoy Carries the puck most the time anyways so not a glaring whole if they can’t carry the puck</div></div>
Realistically it's gonna cost at least what LA gave up but I don't think LA will be looking to move him (whether the op likes it or not) they are also in win now mode and need him on their blueline.
I know they are young but both Harris and Struble are great defensively and can transition up ice well. They are better suited to the bottom 4 so I wouldn't necessarily put either with McAvoy on the top pair but both could be had for about a 2nd

Either your 24 1st or one your top young guys like
Benson/ Quinn/ Peterka need to be involved.
Or even a Cozens
Savoie is your 4th/5th best u22 forward and they have no need for Johnson. Minnesota have a decent amount of similar potential LHD prospects already.
I’d say your offer would have to be
24 1st+ Quinn + a few more mid round picks or B tier prospects</div></div>
Craziest part is not even putting him on the 1st line

Lindholm hasn't been good this year... really doubt he gets long-term offers. I would be willing to go to $6.5M AAV for 3 years for him but outside of that would rather roll with Coyle, Zacha, and Poitras/Geekie

Svech
I'm not sure that Jersey accepts the trade as is, maybe switch Lauko for Boqvist?
I personally don't see Holtz as a good replacement for Svechnikov - Svech plays as a power forward and forechecks well. Holtz is much more of a sniper, and is smaller to boot. He is also the most valuable piece in the trade, as Boston's 1st will be very late, and I just don't value Frederic that highly.
I pointed out in a post yesterday that while Svech isn't "untouchable", he's right up there on the current Canes squad. I would doubt if he is ever put on the trade block, and so the price to buy him is going to be pretty high.
