<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>RobbStark03</b></div><div>By the sounds of it, the Canadiens are going to be VERY active this offseason. May be too early too look at Laval lines right now, as any deals could potentially bring in help in prospects. I think Evans, Verbeek, Alain and Pezzetta are fairly safe to call at center. Otherwise lots of questions on wing.</div></div>
Alain is a better right wing than a center per what i have seen and read. Evans few mention him been a better winger than centerman so I wonder where habs are gonna fit them. Pezzetta and verbeek i barely know or read on them. If i'm doing this so early it is to see or perhap understand how they evaluate or fill their ahl team!

McCarron is either a Hab or chopped (unlikely to clear waivers, not due to his current skills, but its a low risk for a team). Scherbak, Mete, Juulsen are all likely NHL, Lindgren good chance as well. Benn will be traded before he clears waivers to join Laval.</div></div>
So could this be like that :
RYCHEL EVANS SCHERBAK/L.Shaw
TERRY VERBEEK ALAIN

Yeah toews could be a good thing, if i were not on tavares who should be targeted? Stastny?
For Alzner it's all about saving 2 years on that awful contract and i also think that both guys can outreach their own goal with a new team!

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Doug7004</b></div><div>"8,250 will be his demand in mtl because of the tax plan, he would ask probably 6 to 6,5 in Vegas or Tampa !" This is a quote cut and pasted that you made when referring to bringing in and having to overpay Kovalchuck for two years! (see your own post The New Era)
Obviously not very consistent when now you want to underpay Tavares and bring him to Montreal. Almost every Montreal Post fantasizes about Tavares but taxes aren't the only reason (but a solid one) that I can't see Tavares in Montreal. Tavares has stated that he wants to insure he is put in a postion to win and I question if Montreal is that organization.
Montreal goes to cap hell when the Price contract goes to $10.5M, and at such he is virtually unmoveable. Add bad contracts to Weber, Petry and A;zner, and Montreal having one of the worst Defense in the wholel league.
Montreal likely to go into at least retool, or full blown rebuild, similar to where Islanders are now!
Montreal with the 28th ranked farm system to draw from, suggest rebuild will take longer than most.
Tavares is loyal and as such values loyalty (or why would he be still considering staying in NYI. . . . . compare that to Montreal, Bergevin, with Subban, and now shopping Patches, and how much loyalty given to proven loyal Canadiens players.
You and all Canadiens posters, have to take into consideration of the reality, and understand that Tavares isn't looking at Montreal, Salary, Taxes, Winning, ETC. . . . .</div></div>
You need to understand that every scenari are different and showing many possible objectivity! If i did the jt jt moves is to prove how wrecked habs are on the payroll and in depth! That why i have such title above. This is also an answer to many fans asking for a Price trade in the few group/community that i follow on FB, so I gave them the most unrealistic trade to figure out who is dreaming! (To mention many so far seems to love the idea)
For Kovy i know those number from a ex-russian agent who know very well what can be asked and i sure throw that money if he were to come, because habs are in need!.

Way too much for Niemi (he can get less than a mil again).</div></div>
I should had tough to mention prior to the draft in the trade detail my bad. I know i can have more for Petry but i am only lookoing to unload the money for the future, should i add a good young prospect? For Stastny I think that he will be part of the tavares plan b derby wich mean overrated signature usually. For Niemi i've shed few $$ on the previous contract and give only 1 yr ...having Niemi and Orpik unloaded of the payroll at the end of the season give us the pacioretty and byron moneyraise and more.

with NHL recapture clause penalties being a thing post 2012 NHL teams are less likely to go over 5 years to avoid a Mike Richards like Cap Hit as LAK got .
in this Era anything more hurts both parties and there is more profit to a JT in becoming a UFA again at 32 then at 34 its just common sense .</div></div>
It's a fact that a new non already hired player can only get 7 yrs max per CBA. ;)
Buried Kruger can also be a good help cause i doubt that Necas can fill 2C spot in mtl

No team will be prepared to give up assets and take on that contract without a very large portion being taken back! Even currently, with Price coming of an injury plagued year, a down year for him, and turning 30. . . . .8 years doesn't look very appealing to another organization! Price has more value to the Canadiens than anywhere else! It will be very difficult to move him!</div></div>
So having Pacioretty Sedin Sedin with Price in the net do not offer a real chance to Vancouver 'cause moneytalk ? I too love AC/DC but we offer here a top 5 scorer plus a top 5 goaler adding up a veteran top4 dman .... geez money is a thing but skills are in on the ice.

As for the trades: I like them. Use that $10M to sign a couple of solid forwards and this would be a fun team.</div></div>
