Nah. Hanifin's spent his 2 pro years on the 3rd pairing and has shown very little improvement. Not a chance he gets even close to Nylander's value.</div></div>
Dmen always take a little longer to develop, but the fact he was able to step right into the NHL as an 18 year old and stick for two straight years, he for sure will project to be REAL good, hence why I would love to pursue him. The thought of the Leafs almost taking him over Marner makes me cringe.

It probably could have been a higher draft pick, but it's not like JVR has no value, and Anaheim HAS to trade a dman. He's a 25-30 goal scorer almost every year, and before this year, its been on a terrible team.

I might not disagree, but, what else would you put in? It's no secret Carolina is stacked with d-men, and they need forwards. If you take out Bozak, who do you add? Or is it just adding another draft pick in there?

I LOOK ON HERE AND ALL I SEE ARE UNREALISTIC TRADES AND SIGNINGS. THIS IS LEGIT!
Just an honest questions here, is the Ghost worth 5.5 per? The Leafs got Reilly signed for 5 flat, and buffalo got Risto for 5.4 per. Is Ghost worth more than those two?

Yandle has a No movement clause. I dont know if he would wave it to go to Winnipeg. Only way he waves is if he thinks he has a chance to win, which is possible with this young up incoming group of talent. But, just like with Winnipeg's 1st franchise, they had a good team and could never get by Gretz and the Oilers, and now they will have to get by McDavid and the Oilers. It's too bad.

What the Flames SHOULD do
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Skylardog</b></div><div>Kulak?
I really like moving Gaudreau and have been quietly pitching the idea in a few places, mostly to total condemnation. Fans will string BT up if he moved him. I however believe that he is not going to be a difference maker in the playoffs when it really matters. He is scared when it gets rough. I think he could be traded to Philly or NJ easily and get something darn good back. Once he is a proven playoff flop, his value will diminish considerably. Time to move him is in the next 10 months, by the trade deadline.
I dont know if Arizona retained any of that salary. But, I totally agree with you on Johnny Hockey, that guy needs to go while his value is still high. He is a great player, but I dont know if he is the guy who will get the team to a championship.
I have seen a couple of different numbers on Stones contract that is now ending. I have seen $4 mill, but also $2.0 mill. Anyone know if Arizona retained some salary? Hockeybuzz says it is $2.0 mill.</div></div>

Who is higher on your list? Parsons or Gillies? One of the two would have to be on the move back in my opinion.

What the Flames SHOULD do
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>MG1986</b></div><div>I actually quite like your Carolina-Flames deal. I don't think Calgary would need to add an additional draft pick though. What happened to Michael Ferland and Mark Jankowski? Both should be major factors on this Calgary team this upcoming season. My one concern is that I do not think Vegas would take on Brouwer's contract, so there would need to be another trade to shed that cap space for Oshie.</div></div>
I may have made a mistake with the Ferland and Jankowski, total brain fart. I know the Flames may not need to add the additional draft pick, I may have just been sweetening the pot a little to much to secure that 1st round pick. As for Brouwer, if he was not selected in the expansion draft, a potential Gio trade would free up the cap space for Oshie.

Leafs - 2017/18
That's very true on the game 4 hit. Would you think of moving Kapanen, Neilson and a 1st for something like fowler, trouba? After watching Neilson in the playoffs, i think he is going to be too slow for the NHL, but hes good on the PP.

Draft day: Timothy Liljegren
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Linlan</b></div><div>What will happen to this kid? many still sees him as a top3 pick while other speculate he'll drop down to top10 cause of missed games due to illness. Could he fall down as low to what Jakob Chychrun (#16) did or halfway to what Sean Day (#81) did? (best two comparisons i could come up with) Let me hear your thoughts and speculations</div></div>
I think it will be a classic Cam Fowler situation, and whoever ends up getting this kid, if it is around the 10th overall mark will be getting a steal. I believe Fowler was talked about as like 4th or 5th overall in his draft year and the Ducks got him at 12th I think.

I could vouch for that! maybe the best forward in the series thus far! Outside shot of making Leafs next year depending on what other moves team makes in search of elusive defensive talent! ie: using Kapanen, Shosh, Leivo, Komorov, JVR, in trade package!</div></div>
The guy was very impressive out there, I was disappointed in Kapanen, especially after the playoffs he had with the Leafs.
