Bruins 2021
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>yycofred</b></div><div>i dont think the flames are going to get a left shot d in return for one of their top 6 guys, i know studnicka is the key piece to this deal but if he isnt nhl ready next year i just dont think the flames make this deal. i really like your value here and think the flames would be happy with the deal i just dont know if its the right pieces.</div></div>
It's really hard to gauge exactly what teams will do/really need, but I appreciate that you think the value is there even if the deal isn't the right one. If I were the Flames I'd keep Monahan, but I know that they need a change, so I'd try to see if they'd be open to a two or three for one for him if I'm the Bruins...

Bruins 2021
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>zachjohnston</b></div><div>I don't see the point of trading DeBrusk to Edmonton. If they were to do this trade, I would want to see something better than Caleb Jones, who you have as scratched, that can either meet or succeed the value that DeBrusk brings to the team. Senyshyn has underdeveloped so I do agree with shipping him away but it's the fact that they'd be giving up Jake DeBrusk for yes, a first round pick, but no value in any other players. Also, Senyshyn is a former first round pick. In conclusion, I think DeBrusk should stay in BOS, and if you need to ship him off to the Oilers, they'd need far more value than a defender that'd be scratched for a majority of the time.</div></div>
To me there's really few parts to this 1) I felt like I needed to give the Flames more than Studnika and Zboril for Monahan and I don't want the Bruins giving up more first rounders, couldn't just give the Flames Debrusk since they are set on the left side, so figured I'd send him to Edmonton to get that first, 2) I think a first for Debrusk is pretty fair at this point, 3) Jones I just grabbed to get some depth with Lauzon and Zboril gone....

Hall Plus Ekholm

Vince Dunn another one but not for Debrusk. Picks.</div></div>
I was thinking the exact same thing with both Lauzon and Dunn.
I really like Lauzon, but there's got to be some pain in trades. For Dunn, I was trying to see if there's a way to trade DeBrusk for picks and then use them for Dunn, but it seemed overly complicated.

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>bhavikp27</b></div><div>And then you lose one of Klefbom or Grzelcyk!!!</div></div>
I keep hearing that from Bruins fans about losing Grz if they add to the D. Either set it up that you might lose Grz or have a poorer defense in 2020-21. I mean they have a legit chance to win the Cup. You do everything you can to take advantage of that and worry about loosing Grz later. The teams that won't lose something valuable to Seattle are the teams that either stink or are really young....

That doesn't get you in the ball park of Brady Tkachuk. He's absolutely untouchable</div></div>
Says it right in the explanation that it doesn't work and this was for fun. I do think it's in the ballpark of Tkachuk, I mean IF (big if) Carlo and Vaak develop into top pair D men? What more could you expect?

I hear you. Needed to get a new LW and didn't want to sign a free agent :) Maybe I should change to someone like Namestnikov?

Second Try
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>ALitteral</b></div><div>You are light on both of your trades for the Dmen. You're giving up a 40pt winger, a #6 defenseman, a nothing prospect, and a 3rd round pick for half of your top 2 pairs (with salary retained). Both guys are signed for 3 more seasons with a reasonable cap hit, I can't imagine that works for either the Flames or the Flyers.</div></div>
That's a fair view. I'd counter that Grz isn't a 6 dman, he's a solid 4 with potential to be a 3. As for Ghost, I'm interested in your view of him going forward, because the stats and the contract are inching towards cap dump territory... I just think he needs to be in a better set up for him to be valuable....
