BUF and TOR

I did one a while back and general TOR consensus was Honka + 3rd for Johnsson.
Faksa is one of my favorite games on the team. I know a lot of people on here will trade him away, but not me. Plus, he will be just as expensive as what TOR sends away... defeating the cap help theory.

I think I got it. I reverted the trade but Honka wasn’t on my reserve list anymore until I refreshed the page a few times.

It wouldn’t let me re trade Honka but yeah I’d do it

Philly in 2020-21 trade with MTL and DAL
Stephen Johns, be it a little rusty, played awesome in his short stint back. I don’t think anyone is ready to part ways yet. With him, Dallas’ defensive core is 20,27,25,27,27. Youth is not an issue there.
I’m not sure how true anyone’s assessment of this team is. Are they old? Maybe. Do they need a system better tailored to the roster? Absolutely.

Dallas evolving hockey

He makes his money playing against other teams top lines. His physical presence is noticed nightly. Better offensively than Comeau or Cogliano, too.
FWIW, not sure how much weight these offensive numbers hold given the extreme system they are in. Sure, some guys are having down years. Tough to break out of something though when you’re on a leash.

New Front Office Blows it All Up
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>SevenLeg</b></div><div>6m$ for Soderberg?</div></div>
For a 1 year deal, yeah you would have to overpay. Just a placeholder for Robertson / Dellandrea.
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>WelcomeToTheCrosbyShowCanada</b></div><div>We won't take Pavelski's contract for free</div></div>
Was hoping you guys missed him. Sent Benn and Pavs home. Guess I could’ve taken a guy and flipped him but that would’ve just gotten someone else to say we won’t do that.
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>MaxDomi13</b></div><div>Welcome to cap friendly <a href="/users/EvanW" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">@EvanW</a> and <a href="/users/WelcomeToTheCrosbyShowCanada" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">@WelcomeToTheCrosbyShowCanada</a>!
Also just so you know if you press the little plus next to a player's name you can retain the salary</div></div>
Ah I see, thanks!

New Front Office Blows it All Up
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>BurgerBoss</b></div><div>Wow, how to completely rape a franchise...</div></div>
That was the point. While The moves are unrealistic, it’s not unrealistic that we may be stuck with some very, very bad contracts. So, I set out to blow it up. Mathematically, it should work everywhere. The combination of all sports being cancelled and 6 game slide are pushing me off a cliff.
I hope/trust a lot of the issues are within the system that will change in the offseason when Gaglardi makes some. moves.

As for Hall, I think you’re right. I know that playing over half the schedule (and any playoff income) in states without an income tax. Per the information here, Detroit for example has one of the lower state rates and could give him $750,000 more ($8,500,000) for him to take home ~$35k more post taxes.

Yeah obviously salary dumps. Slept on it, made it a 3/4 from DET for Benn / Rad. What do you think it’d take, send them a pick too?
Tried to stay away from player trades.
Would you take Lindell for a 3 or 4 round?
