This might be one of the worst realistic attempts I've ever seen. Glad you had fun though; that's what it's all about

That was the point. While The moves are unrealistic, it’s not unrealistic that we may be stuck with some very, very bad contracts. So, I set out to blow it up. Mathematically, it should work everywhere. The combination of all sports being cancelled and 6 game slide are pushing me off a cliff.

I hope/trust a lot of the issues are within the system that will change in the offseason when Gaglardi makes some. moves.

Welcome to capfriendlt @EvanW and @WelcomeToTheCrosbyShowCanada!

Also just so you know if you press the little plus next to a player's name you can retain the salary

For a 1 year deal, yeah you would have to overpay. Just a placeholder for Robertson / Dellandrea.

Was hoping you guys missed him. Sent Benn and Pavs home. Guess I could’ve taken a guy and flipped him but that would’ve just gotten someone else to say we won’t do that.

you guys finally get rid of that dude talking smack about Benn and Seguin?

If you're moving Benn you can get more
his cap's high and his numbers on a decline 3/4 years from 85-89 point range
That said we're talking about dropping from a 40 goal regular a 19-26 goal average
That will always have value

Retain lets say 2m on Benn and teams will pay 7.5m for him
That cap for a goal scorer who could have 1 or maybe even 2 forty goal seasons in him(or they'll hope)
but he also offers faceoff relief while like Shea Weber being there to drop the gloves when needed and draws the penalties if its not.
His size and skill even at age 30 signed for another 5 years should get you atleast :

1st round pick in 2021 , Drouin ,Brook and Ikonen (or a 2nd round pick)
(1st , top 6 forward with term under 30 , B+ prospect ,B prospect or a 2nd )

MTL gets a top line LW who with Gallagher and Danault or even with Domi and Armia
Would dominate the offensive zone time
