I don’t think we get Bourque. Marchment would be a good linemate for Stutzle

This will be the first time where an extension can be given and Boston will likely be among the least appealing with regards to stability.
Conditions will change in late June/early July and none of us know if that changes the parameters or not

5'10" 185 is on the small side for a TB defenseman. They might give a little on the height or the weight but under Yzerman/Brisebois the only defender that played regularly that was both under 6'and 200lbs was Anton Stralman at 5'11" 193lbs

If Ullmark is willing to waive for an extension, then the deal makes sense
With regards to the cap situation, I think that makes sense only if the agents of both Lindholm AND Hanifin or the equivalent two player shave let it be known they want to come to Boston

Saros trade
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Fogz144</b></div><div>I agree with this, which is why I tried to make the trade without using any of the actually good players on the team. Frankly I can't figure out why people are so eager to trade Norris. He's young, on a long-term deal, and is recovering from injury.
I think the sens need an upgrade at goalie, but I think throwing away the great organizational depth they have in their top 9 forward group to get it done would be a mistake. I'm convinced that keeping guys like Pinto and Greig on bridge contracts will be crucial for long-term success. I'd maybe move Chychrun to clear up the awkward construction of the D corps, but then you gotta find a RHD replacement for him that doesn't cost more than like 6 mil a year.</div></div>
Norris had 55 points in 66 games 2 years ago, last year he had a devastating shoulder injury that made him 76 games and a few games this year, it will take some time for him to re-adjust and fully trust his shoulder again to play at his full potential, giving up on him now is like how OTT gave up on ziby and traded him away for brassard.

Understandable from OTT perspective but I would think it has to be a trade that fills holes for both teams. Nash has plenty of picks + mid, no need to trade our star G for more of the same.

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>herzausstein</b></div><div>Korpisalo has been complete junk so even retained i cant say id be excited to have him as part of the team. He just isnt making saves he should be. And honestly... he's only ever had 2 good seasons and hasnt started more than 40 games in a single season (though he may this year).
Chychrun isnt a need (expensive lhd) and Norris is too much of a wildcard coming off a season lost to injury and having a big downyear with a huge expensive contract. Pinto would probably be where the interest is at... especially if they have to send us the Korps. We need a young centerman without a fat contract otherwise norris would be of interest.</div></div>
Sens won't move Pinto. The entire reason Norris could be available is how strong Pinto has been (and Greig too). Also I think the Norris "down year" talk is a little exaggerated. He's still got the shot, and he's gonna cruise to 25 goals in a down year. And in his defense, a HUGE reason he's not already way higher than 16 goals this year is Ottawa's terrible powerplay usage. He's spent half the year playing on his non shooting side, and the Sens are brutal at establishing a point shot, which means it's easy for PKs to take away one time options. With a better powerplay system he'd easily clear 30 this year in my opinion

wait and see what happens when the team learns to actually play defense and with a defensive structure. theres still 27 games left to the season, see how the teams play and how th G perform then evaluate.
overpaying top quality asset on a maybe is a dumb way to run a team and a am good way to cripple one for years.

There's no scenario where Nashville takes a deal like that. 1st will be late, Korpisalo is ass no matter how much you retain, I like Ostapchuk, but he's not a significant prospect. 2nds are nice, but they don't make a difference if the core of the deal is lacking substance. Imo for Ottawa to get Saros it'd have to be Norris or Chychrun.

Take anything they get for Mathieu and just hope he does not bite you in arse. If you want to win you take reliable not a big maybe.</div></div>
Kubalik had 17 of his 45 pts on the PP last season, means 28 ES pts in 81 games
Joseph in comparison had 30 pts at ES and PK in just 69 games in 2021-22
There is no spot for Kubalik on the PP in Ottawa, there's at least 10 guys you need to prioritize for PP minutes
Joseph is better defensively by a significant margin and has had elite PK metrics all his career
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>phillyjabroni</b></div><div>Dude a 1st round pick to take 2.95M for a player who is young and serviceable? It just cost a 3rd round pick for Pearson who has a higher cap hit under similar cap circumstances. FC for guys like Yamamoto, RyJo, Kevin Hayes. Pinto can't be oversheeted so at the end of the day its only him and Ottawa.</div></div>
Man this poster is really something else. He comes to every Sens ACGM to repeat his crap. He's the one who made me dig on Joseph vs Laughton, and the more I dug, the more I realized than I would rather have Joseph.
Yet, he thinks it costs a 1st to dump Joseph and that Laughton returns 1st + 2nd.
Don't listen to that delusional poster, not much of what he says is factual.
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>GMDannyB</b></div><div>He’s 26 and can’t score 20 points on a 3rd line.</div></div>
Yet, career PPGs :
Scott Laughton : 0.38 (last 2 seasons, top-6 minutes with PP time)
Mathieu Joseph : 0.35 (mostly 4th line minutes all his career since he was on the top contender)

Kubalik just makes to much sense to move. Teams will get a look at their players during camp and will decide if young guys are ready or not, leading to a trade. Think a low 3rd/4th would be the value really

Sens are squeezed
You're right about the bottom 6, would have to spread out the Top 6 into pairs to at least be able to run 3 solid lines. In no order:

Greig-Norris-Batherson

Cap Squeeze next year
To get some cap space back we could always trade away Joseph. Put Gauthier at 3RW and put Brown or Watson on there (they'd both be ~$1mil) even though they're both incredibly meh. Gives a bit more wiggle room if DeBrincat wants more or if some of our other RFAs want more, such as Pinto.

I like this. We won't have the room to do anything crazy so this is likely what we're looking at next season. I was also projecting pinto in the 2M range on a bridge deal but id he hits 20 goals and .5 pts/GP that's pretty good leverage. Doubt he clears 3 though.
Hamonic has been somewhat impressive lately and it'd probably take more than that to keep him. 1.8x2 or something probably gets it done.

Why would that affect the price? Arizona does not have to trade him at all, he's got 2 more seasons under contract after this one. Time is on the Coyote's side
