If the Blues DONT Sell
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>TheEarthmaster</b></div><div>I think Tarasenko is all but certain to be traded, seeing as he's not re-signing here and the Blue are playing fine without him. But the other guys, it might be a toss up. There's a lot of guys on the market, and there's a lot of teams that are (rightfully) more focused on moving as high up in the draft as possible. People are unwilling to move 2023 picks. They should still sell because I don't really want them to re-sign any of these guys but I don't know if there will be the market that will allow Armstrong to radically reshape the franchise like he did in 2017/2018. Really depends on if he can talk up O'Reilly despite his mediocre play and how aggressively Tarasenko will use his NTC against the Blues.</div></div>
I would have to politely disagree. If ROR and VT come back and look healthy, I think they both net a 1st rd'r +. I think Barbie and the rest could net at least a 2nd, 3rd and maybe another prospect. VT is a goal scorer that all teams should covet, the others play a tough style that teams like in the playoffs and all have more than enough o-fence to help any playoff team. Just my opinion.

If the Blues DONT Sell
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>KrakenTheCode</b></div><div>First off, I appreciate the thought you've put into considering this from different sides.
I think Seattle may hold some interest in a defenseman like Perunovich, as special teams is still a work in progress and they could still use some more people in the Blueline Pipeline. That being said, I'm not sure they'd want to give up Sprong to make that happen, as he's carved out a regular role with the team and still has RFA control, meaning he has the potential to be a long term piece of the Kraken puzzle. I think if Seattle went after Perunovich, they'd rather use draft capital or move Donato or Geekie before Sprong. I guess we'll see though.</div></div>
I can understand that! I'm hoping that the Blues do sell and maybe they can move Perunovich for Lind and a pick. What's your take on Kole Lind? I feel he hasn't gotten a real shot in the NHL and was wondering why?

I really hope Army sees that this year's team is more than likely not going to win a cup! 3? I would sell ROR, VT91, Barbie, Accarri and Mikkola. If someone wants Leivo, Greiss or Pitlick move them too. Retain on 3 of those contracts and I feel Army could set up this franchise for success for many years to come.

I'm sure the Blues get more for VT91. I gotta think that if they sell, they will retain to get a better package. Also, am I the only one who sees the huge problem with all these moves? Did this guy forget about the salary cap?

Selling UFAs
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>KrakenTheCode</b></div><div>I don't think Seattle's going to have a ton of interest in taking on Krug's contract for the next several seasons. Even if he's still a productive player right now, that could very easily change and I'm pretty sure they wouldn't want to run the risk of being stuck with such an albatross contract. Plus the fact that he's out injured for at least the next few weeks doesn't help matters.
I also doubt Seattle would want to swap out one of their better defensive d-men in Soucy for an offensive d-man in Krug, which would upset the defensive balance somewhat. While it's true they could use some help on the power play, there are plenty of more affordable options the Kraken could pursue to aid in that area rather than tie themselves to Krug through 2027.</div></div>
Thanks for the non judgmental feedback. My only drawback was SEA losing Soucy. Plus, don't think Krug waives for anyone but DET or a team close to Michigan.

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>tstrauss16</b></div><div>At this point the only reason to move Tarasenko was to bring someone in with a big splash. I don’t see that happening anymore so I’d rather keep him now. On the other hand, Barbashev is the guy I’d rather focus on moving for the rest of the offseason. I think the Blues should target a right-handed RW to replace somewhat of what Perron gave to the organization.</div></div>
I understand, my thinking was that this team took a step back and probably can't contend with the Avs so go ahead and move him to get assets. I know most won't agree but we will see.

But why? You have over 30 mil in cap space? 26 isn't enough? Are you contending in the 2 years you have Scandella? If it was the Blues in this situation I'd hope they'd take high draft capital for taking on money that won't hurt the cap or their chances of contending in the future.

Kinda agree! It sucked when Petro left but Army was spot on with Faulk. Still holding out hope on ROR but VT gave us everything we could have hoped for! Pujols was also the correct move but none of those compare to losing your top 2 scorers in one off-season. Just brutal. Oh and at least you got Manè!!

Totally agree, I have faith that Army will figure it out. MT19 is the exact player Berube and our fan base salivate over....being a home town kid makes it the perfect fit! We all saw how much Maroon meant to the STL, times that by 100!!
On a side note what do you think the Leafs are going to do with Sandin? That's a player I would love for the Blues to acquire!!

🤞 Will be tough on Army. Hearing Kyrou is a must per almost everyone but can the Blues really lose Perron, VT91 and Kyrou in one off-season? Thats 88 goals and 214 pts, I want MT19 real bad but that's a tough pill to swallow.

Don't you think targeting a LHD, say Soucy would be a more beneficial move? Then you have Scotty P, Bortz and Mikkola to switch in and out of 3rd paring and a guy to pair with 55....
