Description

Probably going to get roasted for this but id like to see the Blues retool this year. Don't think the team we have now can beat the Avs as we are worse than last year.

Moving VT (who signs an extension with NJ) sucks but like I said I don't think this team is a cup contender this year so my as well get something for him and Barby.

I ate 3,000,000 of VT for this year and took back Tartar and Johnsson to help NJ resign Bratt and Wood.

Thinking the Blues could retain on Tartar and Johnssson at the deadline to get picks. This gives Neighbors time in the A and once the Blues move those 2 players they can bring up Neighbors and Zetterlund for 3rd line duties.

Probably will never happen but thought this move could help NJ climb into contention in the East and help the Blues for the future.

I'd much prefer having Zetterlund and Sharangovich long-term over one year of Barby and Vlad.
Hope Devils would decline this if offered.

At this point the only reason to move Tarasenko was to bring someone in with a big splash. I don’t see that happening anymore so I’d rather keep him now. On the other hand, Barbashev is the guy I’d rather focus on moving for the rest of the offseason. I think the Blues should target a right-handed RW to replace somewhat of what Perron gave to the organization.

Honestly Avs took a major step back too. They currently don’t have a deep center group after losing Kadri. In reality, Blues lost Perron (which can be replaced with a trade) and Husso (which can be replaced with Binnington or Greiss stepping up)
