Has Capfriendly considered asking a former GM to become a user on the site
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>sensonfire</b></div><div>A fun hobby in his spare time.
Especially if he's retired and no longer working.
The promotion/advertising for Capfriendly on the internet/social media would receive a huge boost and traffic on the site would soar.
So many people would sign up on Capfriendly.
It might crash the site briefly but it would be up and running again in no time.</div></div>
former GM's would hate this site and users would hate them because they'd roast about our every move

Regardless of what this actual GM would post, they would get hacked and slashed on a regular basis by all of us nobody's anyway.

It's a waste of their time
They could be doing much better things than hanging around on a silly website with kids yelling at them for their trade proposals

Ignore list
I would like to know if it's somehow doable:
There are a bunch of users on my ignore list that are always commenting on my threads (I see them when their comments is among the first three comments or when it's quoted). I don't know how hard it would be to add, but a double-sided ignore list would be wonderful. If I ignore-list someone, I'd want the other person to not be able to see my posts either.

Can we have built in multiple fantasy hockey leagues on capfriendly? It would be much easier.

improvements
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>yycofred</b></div><div>I've asked this a lot but haven't really gotten a good answer, why would any team want to spend assets on Barrie for the next two seasons? Second assist heavy, his numbers plummet when he's not on the ice with McDavid and essentially a PP specialist at this point. His value is by far the highest it will ever be in Edmonton but it would be way lower if he were playing anywhere else.</div></div>
he is a pp specialist and his only upside is his offensive ability, you nailed it. but (despite what some may think) Barrie is and has been a very consistent and skilled offensive defender for the vast majority of his career and there are a number of teams out there who lack puck moving defenders and/or a defender to run their pp for them.
teams are not gonna pay for him to be a shutdown defender, because that’s not what he is. of they give him sheltered minutes on the third pair and run him as a pp specialist he will likely thrive. especially if it’s a place where he’s needed and put into a position to thrive

A few deadline ideas
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>herzausstein</b></div><div>So you are giving up broberg for a 3rd pairing dman and a very slight upgrade in goaltending?</div></div>
I think Allen is a good bit better than Mikko. And you have to give up prospects if you want to win. Pittsburgh showed everyone that

Goalie Shift and LW Depth
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>nikel29</b></div><div>You want buffalo to pat for koskinen?
And you're WAY off on Dvorak and Jarry.</div></div>
I think buffalo is going to be forced into dealing for a goalie, no way Dell and Anderson give you even remotely close to NHL goaltending. Koski had a rough year last year but look at his career numbers and they aren't bad. His contract is the worst thing about him.

new goalie
If this is what you're giving to get rid of Neal... Yikes is all I have to say. MAF is a decent goalie but he makes 7 freakin mil. Why not just buy out Neal and take the 4m in savings?

General Roster Question
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Friendly_Giant</b></div><div>I've only been at this a few months and am proud of how I've built my team over the 20-21 season in Armchair GM. But now as I look ahead I'm just wondering if there's some way I can retain my current roster and carry it into the 21-22 season for future management instead of starting all over again from scratch? Might be a dumb question but I would hate to lose what I've already done.</div></div>
no there is no way to do that right now, though it should be added i think

I think a trade centered around merzlikens for nuge works for both teams. Columbus need a 1st line C and Edmonton needs a goalie

You can’t thats how, you can’t extend players in armchair gm but if the players contract would be expired that year you can resign them
