Although very interesting, doesn't make sense for either team. MTL isn't really in win-now mode like VAN.

Habs fully healthy line up and trades
Gallagher will end up on LTIR IMO so MTL won't need to trade.

LTIR
I had the same thought earlier today. Assuming Mikheyev is back at some point in the season, his time on LTIR would give the team some extra time to determine who needs to go for when he's back. Conversely, him starting on the LTIR could mean a more likely fall into a slow start and a familiar catch up feeling for the remainder of the season.
Bit of a catch 22 situation because if he does start the season he has a higher risk of re-injury. Some studies suggest taking 2 years off after a knee related injury to mitigate chances of re-injury.

Finalised Opening roster
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>BruceBanner</b></div><div>Aman starts in the AHL. Needs to find his scoring touch in the North American professional leagues. Rathbone and Dries start in AHL...maybe lose Dries on waivers.
Pearson is in. Podzy too. How I don't know?!?!
Your defence is exactly what I thought. But Irwin is the 7th dman.
The 3rd line is too small. Need some size. Plus Graland and Hoggy can play similar games.
I could see A starting line of:
Kuz - EP40 - Mikheyev
Beauviller- Millsy - Boeser
Pearson - Suter - Garland
Joshua - Blueger - Hoggy
Di Guiseppe and Podkolzin as extras.
But Canucks still need to make a trade with Pearson off LTIR</div></div>
Not to mention Aman is waivers exempt. Unless he's light out better than Dries and Blueger, he's almost guaranteed to be in the minors.

3 way trade with Bos and CGY
Cool idea but Lindholm and Tanev are UFAs after the upcoming season. Big risk for BOS.
CAL would probably do the deal IMO.
VAN idk, probably not. Too many 1st' traded.

Ok so DeSmith for Woo straight up? Keep dreaming.

I kinda like this trade for VAN. Limited term for players in return and both RD. Cost is obviously physicality.
Liljegren could have some value at the TDL as a rental, if that were to happen.

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Xspyrit</b></div><div>Not very smart for Ottawa. Kuz has 2 years before UFA
I think he only missed 16 games the last 3 years prior to last season
Kuzmenko had a great first season but let's not forget that Norris scored 35 goals in 66 GP the year prior
Norris is also a great 2-way center, he faces top competition night after night and comes up on top pretty often. Pretty solid on face-offs too
His contract is also much better and he is 3 years younger
Ottawa can't do this, even if the 1st makes it very interesting</div></div>
Not denying the Norris is a great player. Just too much of an ask IMO. And all shoulder injuries is a red flag.

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>TheAlien</b></div><div>Not necessarily. If they can turn around and flip Miller for a good return they probably consider it. The only hang up is that Norris can't stay healthy</div></div>
So the trade is only good if they can flip Miller. Pretty risky considering they've openly tried already and were not able to get what they wanted. they'd still be stuck with a long risky contract when you consider Norris' durability, as you mentioned.
