Says "Whatever it takes" then doesn't include any of the Duck's best prospects nor the 2023 pick lol.

Tear down complete
Getting paid to take Moore’s cap hit (I feel like it was probably a 2nd), then flipping that contract to eat a bit more on Dadonov (who is actually an Nhler, as opposed to Moore), and getting another 2nd is absolute tenuous.
Will be even funnier when we offer sheet Hague!

7D 11F was an interesting choice by Eakins last night</div></div>
I've watched a lot of hockey in 25 years, and I can't remember a first period that one team looked that bad before, 5-0 Hawks who aren't a very good team....that was insane.

who says no
I agree with the comments above, it doesn’t make sense for a trade. But as a FA signing, a line of Forsberg - Zegras - Terry would be so fun. Probably would split them up to put some bulk on the line, but that raw talent would be a blast to watch.

If that's the price for Manson? No. Would rather just use a few more assets and go get someone like Chychrun

I'd love the Manson trade. Don't know if Carolina fans would.
I think that the highest we would go on Hampus is 6 years x $6.5 million.

The only way I could see us doing this is if we get Laf, Kesler and Eaves retire, and Murray does crack

Buf traded a 1st+ for Montour. They also traded ROR with Tage Thompson as the prospect in return. Buf might.

Where do you go from here
Not have Milano on the 4th line, iirc that's where he was in CBJ, and why he got traded essentially, and don't run that defense at all,
Lindholm-Manson
Guhle/Larsson/Mahura-Fowler
Guhle/Larsson/Mahura-Guddy
Then maybe sign a backup, and take on some cap dumps (as Jah said)... Allen maybe (we could use a backup, STL would probably pay a mid pick to move him, his deal is only 1-2 yrs after this, smart move both ways imo)

Lines at Morning Skate
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>ngikas</b></div><div>Idk how much the typical/average ducks fan complain about specific players but if it’s anything like the Bruins fans get ready to hear it from all the pink hats who don’t know a whole lot about hockey with heinen. The guy imo is a really solid defensive minded forward. He lost his offensive confidence here in Boston for sure but I think a change of scenery will serve him well. I think a lot of bruins fans who bashed on him will soon wish he was a Bruin again by next season at the latest. Idk much about Ritchie except that he’s struggled to progress in his development. Seems like a grittier but less skilled version of heinen.</div></div>
That trade injects some needed Skill into the Ducks line-up, Ritchie in my opinion has reached his ceiling and is a bottom 6 guy that provides some sandpaper, and didnt really have a purpose on ANA
I believe he is better suited on a contender like Boston and Heinen seems like he was falling out of favour there, good trade for both teams in my eyes
The Kase deal makes the Heinen Ritchie swap make more sense for both teams as well

I'm excited to see Milano get time with Rakell and Getz, and top PP time
Can prove he was misused in Columbus early
I want to see Heinen and Jones swap lines personally

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Wqrrior</b></div><div>it seems more logical to me that Silfverberg is 2RW, Heinen 2LW, Terry 3RW</div></div>
I feel like it'll play out like
Jones-Getz-Rakell
Heinen - Steel - Silf
Milano - Henrique - Terry
Deslauriers - Backes - Rowney
Lines 2 and 3 can swap depending on match up, Henrique has had Terry on his RW and Steel has had Silf, I think Eakins like splitting up the youngsters and I agree with that philosphy

Ducks Rebuild
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>MG1986</b></div><div>I have never seen or read anything specifically coming from Bob Murray that indicated this was going to be a slow and hard rebuild. If that was, or is, the case, I expect Getzlaf and probably Rakell and Lindholm gone at some point this season.</div></div>
Bob Murray said after he fired RC that these next 2 years are going to be rebuilding years. They are letting the kids play and see what they can do this year and go from there.
Why would Lindholm and Rakell be gone? They are part of the new core that is coming up. Getzlaf controls his destiny. If he wants outs Murray would trade him to a team that he would prefer to go to. The idea is to keep getzlaf and have him mentor the younger kids.
