dynasty bound
The dynasty all relies on how the team uses their cap NEXT year.
Benn, Johnston, Faksa, Oettinger, Lindell, Suter, Pavelski all expiring. That's +29M in cap space, and if the cap goes to 92M, that's 33M in space. Distributing it is key, while having space for the guys coming up the year after

no clue on all accounts

I think a Brady to Dallas trade would either need to be Robertson 1 for 1 or a package around Stankoven and… Bichsel? Bourque? not sure at that point

I’m just curious…I go thru all the teams w these BT trades to see if there’s anything teams could legit trade for him. Not many teams in my opinion that have assets Sens would want. What about J Rob or Hintz?</div></div>
They'd prob part with Hintz before Wyatt if I'm honest but if we trade Brady it's to retool around Timmy and Sandy so we'd want someone younger than Brady aka Wyatt. Dallas is so good though theres no reason for them to swap out a big piece rn imo

That doesn't do much for us lol. Realistically if Brady wanted out we'd want a young NHL stud already, and not picks.

Buffalo by far has the combination of cap space and assets.
But teams are not going to trade for Brady Tkachuk if he publically says he doesn't want to play for them. Players have more power than that in today's game

I think he was asking about which team would have the assets to acquire him. Sens will be looking for a top right handed prospect for sure and more

Farabee would be like 3-3.5M$ cheaper and cost less to acquire. Konecny is a better player tho

16 points in 42 games, shoulder injury, OTT already has PTSD with Norris, big pass in KJ, and 4th and KJ would not get CBJ brady anyways

Now that the lottery is settled
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Goose1227</b></div><div>Sens fans need to start being realistic with the Brady situation. There is a very good chance he does in fact get traded this offseason or during next season. After next season his NTC or NMC, whichever, come into play. I know for a fact, BT has spoken to Staois/Andelauer (spelling??) about the direction of this team. He’s not happy and didn’t hesitate to say so. He believes in the organization, wants to stay, bring a cup to Ottawa…but he’s not sticking around for another season like this past year or years before. The guy wants to win more than any player on that team. He’s do anything to get them to the playoffs/cup. If Sens do not start off on a good foot, he’s getting traded. Now the Sens control where he would go, so it doesn’t mean he goes to a contender. He’s going to go to whichever team gives the Sens the most assets…CBJ def has those assets. I’ve been saying NJ for some time, but they don’t have as much as CBJ. Nemec would have to be included in any BT trade, I would imagine. Carolina is another team with lots of assets. Not necessarily the best, but they def have assets to put together a decent proposal. Buffalo is another…Kings, eh, maybe only if Brandt Clarke is included. I don’t see Kings trading a big piece to their future. Detroit has quality young players that could possibly move the needle. I mean most teams would do their best to try to acquire Brady. He changes a teams lineup significantly. Adds a very unique talent to any team that most don’t have. Anyway that’s my rant, I’m sure most will say I’m an idiot…)i got married, I already know this), but BT is def available.</div></div>
with OTT hiring DJ Smith 2.0, Brady and Chabot are both gone next off season after OTT finished bottom 10 again, bank on it.

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Goose1227</b></div><div>This is the type of proposal the Sens would be looking for. This will probably make it happen. Again my thoughts on Brady are he’s fed up, tired of losing (granted CBJ ain’t winning lol) he’s told Staois and Andy, it’s now or I want out. I also think the hiring of Green may have sped that up for BT. I don’t know if anyone who’s a fan of that hiring. Small sample size but it doesn’t look good. I agree Sens need a HC who will hold them accountable and work their asses off, but you can’t just ride these guys and expect them to buy in. It’s going to be another interesting season in Ottawa. My personal opinion, Devils really make a run for Brady. Could see CBJ doing so as well because they def have pieces.</div></div>
Devils probably a more attractive landing spot, but a CBJ team with a real coach and Johnny Gaudreau on the other wing on his line has got to be pretty enticing, too. And Columbus can put together a better offer to Ottawa.

People will say that’s too much but Sens aren’t trading him for nothing. Like you said, Devils need to blow them away.</div></div>

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>StutzlesNumber1Fan</b></div><div>I'm just curious why Columbus would move on from Jiricek and Kent though. Kent seems like a top 6 talent and Jiricek a top pairing RD, is Brady worth that to Columbus?</div></div>
Well, they both are promising, but I would say both have concerning warts and their growth stunted a bit this year. Johnson is very slight and his effort seems to be an issue. Jiricek's skating and defensive discipline seems to be a struggle, but I think he'll figure that out and turn into a good 2-3 dman. I don't think either one are a total slam dunk future all-star. Columbus also has Severson, whose contract won't be dealt, and Boqvist, who has shown a lot of promise. I think trading Boq over Jiricek is obviously preferable, but I don't think that's enough for OTT to say yes. CBJ also have Ceulemans coming down the line and could draft another RHD in the top-6 this year.
Brady is a legitimate star and a leader. OTT is fledgling and both teams could be looking for a big change with new GMs. CBJ have lots of middle of the lineup players, and to improve I believe they need to trade some of those for a top of the lineup player. Brady seems like an ideal target because he doesn't have a NMC, is still just 24, and has four more years on his contract. He fits with the core, and CBJ only sacrifice two young players. They still have a plethora of young talent to build around, including Fantilli, the Russians, Mateychuk and a top pick in the upcoming draft.
