<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Hawksguy81</b></div><div>Joseph is overpaid by at least $1m per year year for what he does as a player. He has 3 years left, and his actual salary is more than his cap hit. Contracts like that aren't easy to move in this cap environment. And based on his history as a player, last year was right in line with what he produces offensively. I'd argue that last month of the 21/22 season after Sens acquired him was the outlier - not last year. Finally, Hawks don't need him. They probably take him to get the 2nd rounder, but Joseph isn't a player who makes the Hawks better or will be there long term in their rebuild. At best Sens get back one of the Hawks NHL 4th liners like Entwistle or Anderson, who could be sent to the AHL with no cap penalty if they don't make the team.</div></div>

If it was Joseph and a second for future considerations would you consider that? Hawks aren’t gonna be good for at least 3-4 years Jospeh’s contract will be over by then.
