Trade Deadline
why would the sharks make this trade? they just acquired zetterlund at the deadline last year and he was the piece they wanted for timo

Screw it were selling
almost none of these trades would go through. rangers and leafs disconnect their phone lines after seeing those offers, vegas prob wouldn't bother with that, cbj would decline, edm might take it?, yotes prob won't sell if they keep treading water for a playoff appearance, avs would never make that trade and philly would decline

so you expect his value to be 2+ firsts, a prospect (who can play immediately in the nhl), + more to not even "be close"?

yeah figured the value was roughly the same, might be worth while to grab one later round pick for someone who could crack the nhl lineup (or at least be a top ahler)

it's been heavily reported that he will be moved at the deadline

im pretty sure they will. i really can't see him staying. he's been good for you guys this year, but not "great" in that sense. everyone expected the sens to be more in the playoff race than they are, including himself. i think a trade similar to this is what ottawa would eventually do. it gives you a guaranteed dman, with picks no matter what. the better the rangers do, the more the sens receive :)

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Kravtsov_Stan</b></div><div>I like the Chychrun trade but I doubt Chytil will be back by playoff time and Rangers need to pickup a center</div></div>
im 50/50. obv this scenario would be IF he does return. otherwise, i think they acquire a middle 6 forward or might prioritize someone like tarasenko over a dman. if he is 100% out for the year, i believe they bring in (like you said) a middle 6 offensive forward who isn't a defense liability. with that being said, i really think they move on from one of schneider, lindy, miller and/or jones between the deadline and offseason. i could see a solidify defensive defenseman that can produce on offense as well. i know that is the "ideal dman" but someone who can keep up with fox, but still play some heavy defense who puts up around 35 points a season

wouldn't mind robertson getting a start tonight. maybe it's just my hatred towards jones but we might as well see how he plays a bit. he's yet to make his debut and he's been one of the better dman for the wolfpack. seems like miller might miss a game or two, i think he should get at least a chance

yeah i don't think they would waive wheeler either but he needs to pick it up a bit. i know he gets more **** than he should be getting but man it is hard to watch him some games. as for the habs part, they don't really have a good defensive prospect pool. it's alright and all but. plus jones is at the point where he should be getting full time mins in the nhl, especially not the occasional swap for injuries or a 3rd line d game or two

Imo.... Kreider/Zibanijad are much better together than apart. Find it incredibly hard to believe neither Kreider nor Panarin can handle playing on same line swapping back n forth between the wings. That enables NY to put the Kid line intact as 2nd line.
But you know... wish in one hand , crap in the other
See which fills up first...haha</div></div>
ah hate to admit it, but this is pretty much what they did lmao. only difference is stepan was replaced by 6 other equivalents

Deadline Moves
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>GM69</b></div><div>My expectation as a NYR fan is that it will be Kravtsov and two 2nd rounders. Just from Drury's history of TDL deals. If there is any condition (I have my doubts), after Boston loaded up it'll most likely be contingent on NYR making the cup finals or winning the cup and chicago gets either a 2023 or 24 1st rounder. If they get the 1st rounder, NYR keep both 2nds.
The thing most ppl aren't taking into consideration is that Kane is not a necessity for NYR-- he is a commodity. The absolute only way Kane goes to NYR is if he says "only NYR" which will significantly reduce the price. Keep in mind, NYR will also have to pay a third party to retain which will not be cheap due to the actual money owed to Kane (compared to the trades that have had double retention already this year). Lastly, one of Kravtsov or Leschyshyn will have to be waived/traded by the 26th in order to make the cap work out, with the Kane trade happening on TDL day. If this does not happen, Kane is not coming to NY as they cannot afford it at all.</div></div>
yeah i completley agree. i also see them getting someone else from the hawks, because this is pretty much the last move they can make. im still annoyed they got motte, they could've gotten a better player for a little bit more for the same cap hit. he's a fourth liner. that's it. he overperformed a bit last year, but couldn't do anything in crunch time

not necessarily bulk, but they could use some offense in there. not saying goodrow is gonna put up 30 points for you guys, but besides foligno, there's a combined like 15 points on the year for the other three
