What JK said...Theodore to Chicago makes no sense. If however, you want 3 2nds, I would be willing for #19 OA and would swap in either the Chicago 2nd this or next year for one of the others.

That and I'd rather have JGP over Mikheyev if we're taking on a contract for a 2nd. JGP's cap hit is higher but he's a more useful player.

Only center that won faceoffs above 50% and took 2.5X more than the next closet C and the Hawks are trading him for a cap dump winger? Yeah not happening.

The Hawks just resigned Mrazek for another two seasons, there is absolutely no reason for them to pay a 3rd round pick for some other team’s FA mistake.

First off, the Hawks don’t need LHD.
Secondly, there is no chance they would give up that package for an $8m china doll.

I think that some people failed to take this in the spirit in which this was intended.
I find this hilarious, as well as the implied rebuke of a very few of your fellow Toronto fans who are convince that the Maple Leafs <strong>deserve</strong> this.
Really great job! Thanks!! ^^ :cheers

I'm not sure he's my 1st or 2nd or 5th choice for a veteran RD, but if they all get taken to UFA. He could be our option of last resort.

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>CF_Caniac</b></div><div>The Hawks have done extensive scouting on Levshunov and they could really use a blue chip RHD prospect in the system especially if theyre gonna try to move off of Jones. I could see a Demidov pick as well, I just think Levshunov makes too much sense for them.
The thing about Jones is not really the money. He's done nothing but complain about the team's status and he doesn't really seem to be bought into what they're doing. So I disagree, I dont think hes a good fit anymore. And to comment on your apprehensions about a rental, I think the only way a Marner deal gets done is if they have assurance he'll sign an extension.</div></div>
That is not true in the least bit. Jones has not complained. He was asked a question in his interview a few weeks ago about how he feels after being traded to CHI not expecting a rebuild. And that is the ONLY time he ever publicly expressed any displeasure with "the teams status". And he also went on to say how excited he was about the rebuild and the progress and the players who are on their way and what he has done to try to bring the kids along. You just made that whole thing up about Jones.

I think Demidov is their pick at #2 although I've been on record about how much of a good fit I believe Levshunov would be here. As for the Jones trade, I think Chicago would pass. I like Marner but Jones fits in well here even if he is overpaid. I don't think Davidson moved up in the draft to spend those assets on a one year rental.</div></div>
