Chychurn Bjugstad Vejmelka
You would for sure need to be sending Woll back in that trade. They aren't just giving up their starting goalie to play Ingram with Prosvetov.
Still wouldn't be enough and you'd need to add likely Sandin to the trade to play LD for them. (Also why would u trade for Chychrun and then play him on his OFF HAND with Rielly...
Put Chychrun as 1LD with Brodie as his 1RD. Then bump Rielly down to LD2.

Lines Id like to see keefe try
I'd also like to see a look at:
O'Reilly - Matthews - Nylander
Bunting - Tavares - Marner
Also, when Timmins plays next they should just pair him with Gio. Liljegren was making dumb mistakes all the time after, then he played a few weeks with Gio and his game changed. I assume Keefe is nervous about them both being to slow together, but I think playing a couple games with Gio would really help Timmins decision making and on-ice communication.

The Next Moves
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>oilfire</b></div><div>Arizona probably gets a more favorable deal, without retention and a 2023 1st.</div></div>
Ya, I don't disagree. Retention means nothing to Arizona though. So it more depends on if they want prospects who could play for them this next year (Robertson, Kerfoot, Sandin) and Voit in two-three years possibly with their 2024 1st pick. Sandin also slots straight into their D pairing which I'm not sure how many other teams are offering an active NHL D in their Chychrun trades.
But yes, other teams could and likely will offer something including 2023 1st. So it depends on what else they offer in terms of roster players and prospects.

I doubt Arizona would get rid of Vejmelka.
If they do get Bedard next year, they will need someone in the net who can at least stop a few shots while Bedard scores.

Kane baby
If Kane comes to Toronto, it's to play with Matthews as RW1, not Tavares as RW2.
But Kane is either:
A) Clearly badly injured still from his hip and unable to perform at the RW1 or RW2 level of a playoff team
B) Totally mentally checked out of this season and given up. Hard to get him to completely turn that around in a couple of weeks before the playoffs after being in that mindset all year.
C) Both A and B
Getting Kane is likely going to be another Folingo situation. He plays a few games, turns out his injury isn't something he can play through and the Leafs lose him for the playoffs or he just becomes a libability.

Cutthroat Deals Including A Huberdeau Trade
Even with hos Huberdeau has played this year, that's not enough of a return for Calgary. Also the Leafs would have 0 leverage in the off-season trading him so they'd get nothing in return. Every team would know they can't afford his $10M next year and that they would be helping Toronto. Toronto would have to add to get rid of him even if he plays well.

He'll be playing with Knies and Larkin against other teams 3rd pairing. He'll get more points in less minutes and be happy doing no-look behind the back passes 15 times a game

Mega trades
So SJS is giving up the two better defenders in the trade. Helping Edmonton get out of the Berrie and Nurse deals while retaining $10M over the course of Karlsson contract. For a 1st and Puljujärvi who has been rumoured to be getting placed on waivers 7363 times the last two season (Although I like Jeese but SJS could just wait to get him)
Plus your getting Karlsson who's whole thing is his offense, to play him on his offhand....

CHYCRHUN TO LA
I doubt it's a 1-1. Clarke almost for certain will be the better player overall by the time both their careers are done, but I doubt another low current roster players or pick isn't involved also from LA. (LA kind of needs it for cap reasons also)

That might get you Chychrun. No way it's getting Chychrun and
Bjugstad (with 450k retention).
Plus you still $2m over the cap and that's relying on trading Foegele for half his cap off the books...

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Hammerwise</b></div><div>ZAR, Kerfoot, Lisowsky, Robertson collectively have negative value to ARZ. So say OTT 2023 3rd is a slightr underpayment.
Then its 2 1sts, Sandin , Voit and Niemala for Chyrchrun AND Crouse probably is the slight overpayment to make up for the first bit and an intriguing offer, (although ARZ would have to possess Leaf fans hopes on Voit, Sandin and Niemala).
And then ARZ just throw in Bjustad and McBain, who the way theyre playing, probably have ample TDL value on their own?
The second part is a really good, competitive offer, if you take out the chaff, Chychrun and Crouse for 2 1sts and 3 prospects.</div></div>
How do Robertson and Lisowsky have negative values? I can see an argument between ZAR and Kerfoot even though I disagree with it. But how is an 18-year-old prospect that doesn't take up an NHL slot right now and Robertson possibly have negative value...

TSN trade
Defensive pairings I'd do with thet lineup is:
Brodie - Karlsson
Rielly - Liljegren
Gio - Holl
Scratch Sandin (I just think Gio paired with Holl is a lot better in playoff hockey than Sandin - Holl)
That way you have a very strong 1st pairing, but aren't making it 100% offensive with a massive defensive hole on your first pairing,
Lilly has shown he can work with Rielly and make up for some of his mistakes. Pushing them to the 2nd pairing it takes a bit of pressure and minutes off of them.
Then Gio Holl is your bigger defensive pairing.
Also, 3rd line should be Kerfoot - Holmberg - Jarnkork with this lineup, and 4th line as ZAR - Kampf - Simmonds if you are playing Simmonds and Holmberg.
Kampf doesn't have an offensive side to him, so why pair Kerfoot who although he seems to have forgotten how to shoot, is on the lineup for offensive? So pair Kerfoot and Jarnkork who at least can put it in the net and Holmberg has some form of the offensive edge over Kampf.
But wow is that a massive hit to the 2nd line going from having either Nylander or Marner with JT to having Bunting and Engvall...
