No interest personally in Domi; we can keep Kerfoot & Engvall (useful players) & still have room to add Laughton if that’s your preferred target - wouldn’t be mine but maybe?</div></div>
Insurance would cover his contract so they wouldn’t actually be spending money and this way they can having him allows for them to spend less as his contract would bring them closer to the cap floor for next year it’s the same reason they often bring on contracts of player who will never play again

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>vikhodush</b></div><div>Goaltending is worse and comes from a pretty pointless offer sheet. Those teams would easily match, just work out a trade for them.</div></div>
Both teams don’t have much cap space and likely can’t afford that much for their backups

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Lambchopz</b></div><div>Idk about that trade from the Leafs perspective. Hirvonen, Muzzin, and a 2nd for Pulju isn’t bad if you look at Muzzin’s contract situation, but I think Muzzin could fetch a fairly solid return given his play in the playoffs + his reputation. He makes similar to Keith and even when he’s at his worst like he was when partially injured this regular season, he is still better than Keith is (plus younger)</div></div>
Agreed about Muzzin bet you could get a late 1st rounder for him. Kinda feel like he could go to Buffalo to help teach their young D men and he gets to stay close to home but don’t think Buffalo would give you a first for him

Nick Abruzzese
Personally I would play him on the wing. I think he’s a little to small to be a center in the NHL I know you can be small and be an NHL center but feel he’d be better at wing. Kinda like a Mitch Marner lite also I don’t think he will play well on the 4th line think his game fits higher up in the line up not lower

Trade him well the market is hot
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Lambchopz</b></div><div>Trading Kerfoot while his value is pretty high is a good idea in the offseason, but not now. Fair my fear is just missing out on this hot market right now. Also I’m not super sold on making a playoff run this year due to up and down goalie tending as well as facing Tampa or Florida in the first round especially sine they loaded up.<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>palhal</b></div><div>Leafs are in playoff run.....They don't weaken their team by deleting Kerfoot and Dermot for the unneeded Pearson.</div></div>

That is leafs fans over reacting I mean OEL went for a 1st. Muzzin has a few years left and is still a top 4 D man Holl has truly been dragging him down this year

Dude Kerfoot is way way way better than you think he is and is arguably playing above his contract over this year and last playoffs. This year he is on a 50 point pace and just had 10 points in November and lost Ike’s really good in the playoffs (one of the only leafs who looked good)

I just mean in the sense of having a guy come back for the playoffs

If they both make the team and three lines with big players
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>mauston_atthews</b></div><div>Why is marner on the third line?</div></div>
Because an $11 million dollar player should not need to be on a line with another 11 million dollar player. If they both are that kind of player then they should be able to run their own lines which makes you a more deadly team and a more complete team 3 deadly lines not just 2.

F it centre depth lets go
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Ffmorgan09</b></div><div>why would st louis give up a 30 goal scorer AND retain salary for scraps?</div></div>
Because he has asked for a trade due to the fact he no longer has faith in the team and their medical staff after they botched his shoulder surgery. He also is at an all time low in value due to hardly playing and coming off his 3rd shoulder surgery and is aging. No one in the league is going to take him at the full contract unless they pay them to ie also give up a 1st and a prospect. Also it’s been reported that most teams don’t really want him or have interest in him to use the exact wording. So you take what you can get

Kerfoot has proven he is a top 6 player as a winger or a center as for Scott he has crappy numbers in the AHL because he played like 2 games after coming off of surgery after being the best goalie in junior
