Stick with what works
You might have to sweeten that canes deal a little. Little is a cap dump and you want Haydn Fleury but you're going to need to add maybe a mid to late round pick. Nothing above a third but maybe two fouths or a fourth and two fifths. Only because he's a roster player

Here's how I see the leafs (Please give feedback)
I don't think the Leafs are going to mvoe forward hoping Nylander can hold down the #3C spot, especially at $6.5M. I get the idea is that he and Kadri swap after a season or two, but as an organization I think they're better suited to seeing him on the wing. Otherwise we'd have probably seen more of Nylander at C this season. I think it's safe to think they'll look to find a FA center in July: they can rotate all 4 of Brown, Marner, Nylander, and Kapanen as the season progresses. I'd think it'd incredibly similar to how we've seen the end of this season go; Marner/Nylander/Brown/Kapanen with Kasperi featuring primarily in a PK role.
Dominic Moore is not going to resign in Toronto: Babcock isn't big on him, and no team should feel pressured to keep a +35y/o #4C. I don't think Leivo is a Leaf next season either: he holds more value to other cash-strapped teams than he does to the Leafs imo. If Aaltonen is ready, the spot's probably his. Gauthier works as a spare forward, but I think they'll try and trade him while he still has some hypothetical value left.
That Tanev deal stinks. Zaitsev's game last season stunk, but he got hurt and, well, a lot of the Leaf's defense stunk. I don't think trading him is necessary, and I feel that replacing him with $8M of John Carlson for SEVEN years (you know you gotta resign Matthews AND Marner, right?) is not a safe bet at all. See where he is in a year or two, then make a decision. Rosen is meh, but I'm certain Dubas sees more value on him in the AHL than as a throwaway in a trade.
All of Carrick, Pickard, the 2nd and the 3rd are probably too valuable to the organization right now to consider parting with. Considering the Leafs' absurd shortage of centers, defenders, and prospects in general, I can't see a 2nd or 3rd being moved. Carrick and Pickard, if traded, will be for picks to help keep the cycle of prospects going.

Greening and Moore probably go to free agency, Par Lindholm (a recent sign) looks real promising and probably has the best shot at becoming 4th line center. Tanev trade was definatley overdone, Carrick and Rosen are just plain irrelevant in that trade, the leafs are probably losing one of McElhinney and Sparks, because sparks needs to clear waivers to be sent down after camp, so its either trade one of the 2 or try pulling that with your fingers crossed, so giving away pickard wouldn't be great... Zaitsev's contract is killer but that may not be so bad for the canucks. then you got the picks, overall this wasn't a bad post but had flaws

Zaitsev had a rough season but he was on fire the first 10 games of the year then he got a concussion and shortly after returning from that he got some illness where he dropped 15 lbs. I really liked him in his rookie year and the beginning of this year I wouldn’t move on from him until we see what we have next year.
I would like to see where Rosen is in his progression next year too.
I don’t really mind trading Carrick or Pickard.
I’m not sure I understand why people value Tanev so much, I know he is decent defensively but he is always injured and has never played a full NHL season.

That’s my whole arguement in this discussion lol I was saying why I wouldn’t do that trade. Edmonton walks away with the two best players.

Maybe RNH isn't the point per game center that Edmonton thought they were getting when they drafted him. That's all right. But, if he proved that he can play on McDavid's wing, and that he can also be a serviceable center if needed, then why would they all of the sudden move him for a winger who hasn't proven that he can do either of those things? Also, if you're giving Gally the benefit of the doubt re: Management misusing him, then I think you should look at the other side when it comes to the Nuge being a 150 lb 18 year old being put on the top line and getting banged around for a couple of years instead of letting him grow (2016-2017 was his first full season). The same can be said for most of the other Oilers picks for that matter.</div></div>
Ok but Galchenyuk has proven he can put produce RNH with worst players on his line. And Galchenyuk did the same thing, he played from the time he was 18 till now, actually almost played the same amount of games in his career while being a year younger.

Ok but we are comparing trade values here. And in my opinion Galchenyuk and 3rd overall is an over payment for RNH and 10th overall. How am I miss informed? When he was a center the past two seasons he was under 40 points, on Mcdavids wing he ended up with 48. Galchenyuk got more points playing on Jacob De la roses wing....
I don’t know what your trying to argue me on here

If I’m MTL I’d pass on that trade. I think Nugent Hopkins is over rated. When he centered Hall and Eberle he broke 50 points two seasons in a row but wasn’t good enough for them to win, after that he dwindled. He had less then 40 two years in a row while playing center and only improved this year while playing beside McDavid.
Galchenyuk has fought against management his entire career and been ridiculously misused in Montreal because of his ‘defensive play’ and still puts up over 40 a year.
Honestly the biggest threat when trading with Edmonton is the fact that what RNH does with McDavid he isn’t going to do anywhere else. If you pay a premium o get him (which this definitely is) your not getting a player that can actually handle being a top line center and hasn’t even really proven he be a top 2 center in this league, while Edmonton gets a player they will know can play on their top line and handle those responsibilities because their responsibilities are going to be as big on that team with McDavid and Draistle

Nice job putting together a team, I know how hard this is to do.
Lee for Lehner would be a remarkable return. 34 and 40 goals his last 2 years seventh best in the NHL this past year. He played 70% of the time with Tavares so his scoring may be inflated (Matt Moulson).
You think Lindblom will be better than all of Olofsson, CJ Smith, Nylander, Pu, Aspland. I think I pass on this trade, too much especially when Pu and Olofsson are being traded away in a different trade.
Ditto for Anderson, I would rather keep McCabe and Scandella for my defense.
IMO either McCabe or Scandella are better than Lindblom's potential and Pu, Olofsson, Smith, Nylander potential collectively are better than Anderson's potential

Thanks for publishing the team.
A few thoughts:
1. Pu, Olofsson & a 2nd for Rasmus Anderson is too rich for my taste..... are you trying to corner the market on Rasmus's;
2. I also think the Philly trade of McCabe & Scandella is too rich for Lindblom;
3. I agree with Eskimo you have left your team in a potential hole counting on both Beaulieu & Bogo;
4. I like the NYI trade;
Cheers.
