NYR backup plan

They currently only have 1 good 5v5 line and a 4th line that isn’t playable</div></div>
I'm not worried about Mika...
I am worried about the 4th line... seems like for ever ago Prust/Boyle/Moore, Fedatenko, Fast....
Sorry but can't play the twin towers in the playoffs.

Agreed.
I really like Vatrano, played well while here, but does not change who/what he is.
Good on him for taking advantage of the the ice time he gets playing for cellar sweller Anaheim.

Lol you’re telling me. I don’t know why the rangers want him back after only paying a 4th for him the first time

No thanks.
Drury was correct in rejecting the previous offer and should decline this as well.
Good for Vatrano, things working out, but he's not a 1st round level trade asset. He was acquired on reasonable deal and has put to good use his line 1 and pp1 toi.
I like Frank, but any price close to this is just too much.

I think it'd be a very smart move but I wouldn't hold breath given only Wennberg has been scratched for trade reasons

Might be a bit of an overpay and Eberle may be off the table. But if this trade happened I would be pretty happy with it.

I'm familiar with <a href="/users/Kyle_Okposo_Lover" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">@Kyle_Okposo_Lover</a> and respect his opinions, and I'm telling him we can revisit this when it happens!
I don't think Anaheim will want a goalie prospect, but the first and two prospects skeleton is fair, and I think Colorado (or someone else) will offer us a first for Henrique. Now <strong>I</strong>'m on the record!

Yeah wasn't sure if you were moving a contract for contract sake, or if that was real value, but from a cost standpoint, I can't see Merrill being much more than a 7th or FC.
He's pretty brutal ha.

Please explain on what planet that makes any sense for TB even sending a 1 with Ristolainen isn't getting Cirelli. An overpaid seriously overpaid Ristolainen he's older than Cirelli and sucks.

I think that Los Angeles would rather spend the $2.9 million on a free-agent goalie rather than trade Koehn Ziemmer for Merzlikins.

What would a Laine trade to PIT look like? I mean I'd take the shot on him, could use a sniper esp if we lose Guentzel imo...

More has been reported about Markstrom than Saros
My guess, Holtz has probably been made available.
I imagine whatever that was offered to CGY, was probably offered to NSH too.
I do not believe it would be Holtz plus 1st. Just Holtz.
And my guess is Nashville doesn't consider moving him until his extension window opens July 1st.
And Holtz doesn't sound like he convinces them otherwise.
I think if there is any 'there' there, it occurs over the summer</div></div>
If Fitzy is clutching a 1st and not willing to part with it to secure his goaltending, that blows my mind. NJ could be comfortably in a playoff spot with average goaltending let alone Saros or Markstrom.
The baffling thing to me is the unwillingness to part with prospects like Casey. You all have Hamilton, Marino and Nemec. All comfortably signed for the next couple of years. Then you have Seigenethaler, Bahl, and Hughes on the left. So where does a guy like Casey fit in?
Makes way more sense to part with him and Holtz who has been buried on the fourth line at times this year. Get the goalie you need and try and seize this window you're opening to contend.
