Merrill can be had for dirt cheap, if not free. Not sure you want him though.

Ha I was looking for a cheap reliable LD vet. Looks like I'm missing one of those adjectives - not too familiar with his game. With that said, the prospects going the other way are not really future NHLers IMO. Fortescue maybeee.

yeah they did when new GM came in with no prospect pool and no draft capital and torn down the roster. BTW they never took bad contract for such a ridiculous return

Yeah wasn't sure if you were moving a contract for contract sake, or if that was real value, but from a cost standpoint, I can't see Merrill being much more than a 7th or FC.

He's pretty brutal ha.

The fact that we aren't retaining makes this a win even if we are just getting AHL depth.
