Nope from Winnipeg. There's nothing there worth considering moving Scheifele for.

I'd love this for MTL but pretty sure it's just wishful thinking, I can't see LA moving Byfield for that package.

Pro vs Maybe
If Savard was a LHD, and got half retention, then the Canes accept. But since the Canes made the moves for Burns and Coghlan, resigned Bear, and have Chatfield, there isn’t any room for Savard. So Canes pass.

Cap Space for Dach
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Kid</b></div><div>Marc Bergevin give Hoffman contrat.
This is the WORST DG ever.
100 bad contrat he give and more.
Welcome in Bergevin Nightmare.
Hughes in 6 month do more than Bergevin in 11 years.
IS A FACT</div></div>
I've said that for years about Bergevin. I believe he's one of the worst GM's in the last 25 years. Chuck Fletcher is another one.

Yeah, no one wants Hoffman for 2 years. Habs were the only team crazy enough to give him a multiyear contract

Giving BOS more cap space
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>trevorstanley21</b></div><div>With this cap opening up I was thinking they re sign zacha first then take on a contract like sonny milano</div></div>
Bruins have already signed Zacha, Bergeron and Krecji - they only have to clear 2.5 million to be under the cap and with the team starting Marchand and McAvoy on IR they will have the cap. Not to mention they will likely bury Wagner again to save about 900K etc.

Jake muzzin back to the kings
These multiple high picks don't make sense. If Muzzin is seen as a cap dump due to the Leafs need for space, they'd just need a second back. (cause he does have value)
LA is gonna wind up with a worse 23 first.
And I'm not sure what the Leafs want with a 30 yr old AHL journeyman........

big is good
BUF passes. A back up goalie, a #6 Dman (even on this team) and a late first isn't worth a 30 (and possibly 40) goal scorer. Asking for the second is just greedy.

Filling needs
MIN fans, before you go off, this is an excellent trade for you.
You can't afford Dumba after this year. You're getting 2 excellent prospects, on entry level deals and a decent pick. Both players could be ready as early as this year / next year.
OTT needs another higher end minute munching D, and can afford to pay a steeper price like this.

2 Big Gun
This is pretty interesting. Lou loves his vets, and Barzal would kill it playing with the likes of Connor and Ehlers.
Isles won't be able to afford Barzal after this year anyways.............Scheif is a bit of a ass in the dressing room, and supposedly wants out of WPG anyways, so I'd pull the trigger even if it's a touch of an overpay

Serious offer and is another problem
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Dutchies</b></div><div>After Dubois' agent openly said he wants to go to MTL, there's no way WPG trades him there. This one year contract was signed specifically so they can move him at the TDL to the highest bidder, and that won't be the Habs</div></div>
Actually it was signed because that was his QO and he wouldn't sign long term. He was being nice to Winnipeg by NOT filing for arbitration where he would have gotten quite a bit more. Next year he and his agent can try to do something similar to what Tkachuk and his agent did this year. Winnipeg would be smart to do like Calgary did, work with him to that end and trade him to wherever the best return is.
