If Price come backno rebuilt next year
You don`t have the CAP space.
Suzuki will make $7.25M next year
Romanov will resign for approx $2M+
Rem Pitlick needs to be resigned probably at $1.5-1.7M
Lehki needs to0 resign at approx $2.8-3.0M
and you need to resign Georgiev & Edler

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Kingduplateau</b></div><div>I think you more "acurate" from LA perspective.
I try to move Gally so i guess what could make a bit of sense.
Gally want out of Mtl so is NTC is no problem if its LA
Bergevin not GM in LA but best friend of Robitaille and Pat Brisson, he will push for Gally...but Blake will block him normaly...will cost is job eventualy, even if its is the rigth décision.
This year Gally and other Habs stat are not accurate.
But its true that Gally is on decline and if im Blake i dont want him at 6.5 .
Arvidson at 4 is ok but still not a fan, if i have Gally at the same price, i take a chance.
If not LA , a team will take him, surely with salary retain in some deal.</div></div>
Rob Blake has the reigns of the team, and he worked tirelessly and put the Kings out of contention for 3 years to get the team younger and cheaper. He has relieved Mike Futa and Jeff Solomon to make his own inner circle which will include Bergevin, but I believe that was to help his trade ability not to get Gallagher, but Chychrun.
Gallagher might return to being a 30 goal scorer, but I think the Kings and Habs are bad trade partners for this one. If you even look at cap space, Byfield and Turcotte's contracts will kick in just as Kopitar and Arvidsson get off the books and Danaults NTC expires. The team has purposely been built to slowly transition the old group to the young one. If the Kings cup window was now, maybe I'd agree with you, but I see it closer to two or three years from now, which is when I imagine Gallaghers contract will have a negative value.
I think Gally's true trade value might be up to him, if he waives his NTC, than the Habs have some options. If he selects 5 teams with little to no cap space, and one real destination he has handcuffed the team.

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Kingduplateau</b></div><div>Understand your point...
Still think he bring more than arvidson, and dont forget that Bergevin was in tears when he sign Gally.
Maybe a deal with phoenix that retain some cap and Mtl give draft pick.
I dont want Arvidson, i moving him to...just want some cap space</div></div>
Gally has a 6 team NTC and is metrics wise having the worst season of his career, which is really worrying considering Montreal has been chasing the lead most games. To me and a lot of other teams may look like a decline for a small stature player. That’s a long contract to see a decline so early. Meanwhile Arvidsson is already beating his last seasons stats and still has a friendly contract.
Bergevin is not the GM and he’s decent at trading, he understands that whatever team Gally wants to go to can dictate a price, they just have to wait until he requests a trade.

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Kingduplateau</b></div><div>Sorry for the retain shizz...
But if you can read there is 15M retain...
Bad trade?...ok why ?
Oilers are way better whit my proposal.
They aint going anywhere rigth now.
Just say bad trade is easy..propose something .
Everybody can writh bad trade on every post .
Almost everything i read seem realy stupid, i dont reply on those.
My proposal is realy big and almost impossible because GM are to shy...
But your reply is useless if you take time to respond but add nothing.</div></div>
the problem i can see is that a team can't retain 100% of a contract the max they can retain is 50% . and a player can have his salary retain by max 2 team (that not appen here but just for information) . you did't take that into account here and the math just can't work . as for the value of the trade i think you are around it , maybe a bit more maybe a bit less dependind the person who respond is fan of wich team ;-)

Why trade him, would never have a good return .
4th in the league (or near) for the shot ratio for/against, when he is on the ice, just after Marchand Bergeron and Pastrnk...with the worst team of the league ?!?!?
Common guys no need to move Lek.</div></div>
This
If we are going to rebuilt, we need Lehky to show work ethic to the younster. If we want a quick retool, we still need Lehky, he is much more valuable than Drouin Hoffman Armia

too much for one year of Malkin... won't cost that much.. go for Hertl who would cost way less.

Pens accept but it's a little overpay tho. Drop Guhle and it's a deal imo

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Kingduplateau</b></div><div>Huberdeau contract is almost the best deal in the league.
Understand you want younger player establish and all that.
But again, it seem that nobody in the league will give it.
Wish you the best return.</div></div>
I dont really care what the return is in all honesty. I'm so sick of Buffalo being trash and making stupid decisions on top of all that. I'll most likely just follow Eichel wherever he goes =/

Good catch, another roughly $1.1M to play with. Could very well be enough.
IF BUF is adamant about having either Suzuki or Caulfield as part of the deal, may be best to just walk away and let your young guys grow into their roles.

Suzuki and Romanov have to get paid the following year with only Chariot and Kulaks money coming off the books. You'd have to fill those spots plus sign Suzuki and Romanov.
The year after is Caulfield, with no money coming off the books. Might be best to find a goaltender a little cheaper than Grub to split time with Allen.</div></div>
Hey now, don't forget about Alzner now 😉

KK isnt close to Eichels value, Montreals first is 31st overall now, the Sabres dont need Guhle - they need forwards, Drouin is 27 and may not play next year. Any deal with MTL has to start with Suzuki or Caufield or they wont even come close, theres nothing else that MTL has to keep Buffalo's attention

Understandably so haha they're great players. Just not sure Buffalo makes a deal without one of them.

Goligoski will probably cost less than half that.
That's also a lot to dump Byron. We can manage his cap hit if that's the price to shed his contract.
