Why does your defense still suck. You guys still have defensive problems
Maybe its cause your players aren't actually that good!</div></div>
Our D are awesome, not sure what you are talking about. Most of our forwards suck. and the leafs D suck and their forwards are awesome. Holl would be on the Oilers farm team. Next year we have Bouchard who If Benning doesnt get traded will start in AHL again, which is what I would do if I was GM

Note that if you find a parking place for Hickey instead of burying him, you even have room for a 23rd player.

I know; but $13 per for 5 years? He has to be realistic about the situation.
I don't think a team would offer that to Barzal without max term either (and in that case, I match).

I don’t know if Winnipeg does the Carolina trade after he was traded for less. But Trocheck would definitely look good next to Ehlers

Islanders hang up. No team is giving you assets for Backes or Kesler. Minnesota seems like they want to compete so it wouldn't make sense for them to downgrade for the benefit of a 3rd. Florida has a decent right side, can't see them wanting to add Gudbranson. Carolina also just added Trocheck; seems unlikely that they would want to trade him away so soon, but the trade isn't horrible.

Welcome to CapFriendly! I see that this is your first effort.
I would be shocked if Taylor Hall got less than $9 million from whoever signs him.
Trocheck for Silfverberg is only a lateral move. We'll stick with Jakob.
We don't need De La Rose, even temporarily, with our depth at center, which is where Sam Steel plays.
Maxime Comtois, Max Jones and Nic Des Lauriers all play LW, so we're not in the market for Marcus Foligno.
The Islanders aren't trading Ryan Pulock to us for that. Wish they would.
Why would Montreal buy Ryan Kesler's LTIR contract?

everything else aside, Tampa can't afford tavares. and Thornton at 3c is sketchy, especially when you have nobody capable of playing up if needed.

Dougie Hamilton Sign-and-Trade With Winnipeg
I think what's getting lost in this debate is Dzingel has almost zero value to the Jets, there's about a 1% chance he's signing in Winnipeg so to regain any value out of him they'd need to trade him which isn't all that easy and him being a UFA won't get much of a return for the Jets, yeah I know it's easy on CapFriendly to say just trade him for X return but the reality is its probably not that easy. If this was Necas instead of Dzingel then this is maybe a trade worth considering but doubtful the Canes would consider that but maybe idk.
Also this idea that the Jets defense is its biggest issue is really overblown imo, the Jets have relied on its top 5 forwards to do all of its scoring this season and subtracting one of those guys for an offensive dmen isn't replacing a 40 goal scorer, period.

This isn’t a good plan for Winnipeg in any case! You keep coming with the number he have this year to justify this trade but the fact is Hamilton have never posted those kind of number once before this year and it’s not even been close.

I can't see your screen shots, and it's probably just as well since you're probably cherry picking some data and taking it out of context anyhow.

I'm well aware. I've been watching Kase for a long time, and Grzelcyk is a tiny, sheltered 3rd pairing lefty who has no value to the Oilers. The 1st has some value but it'll be a very late pick and a year away, if you want to trade that for Puljujarvi straight up I'm pretty sure Holland will discuss.
It's a complete joke of a trade.

This discussion got me thinking so I went back and looked at that Nashville team that went to the final and it makes it even clearer why the Preds made the Jones for Johansen trade, they had little to nothing at center on that team that lost to Pittsburgh when RyJo went out from injury, can also see why they made the move for Turris and signed Bonino, they had so very little for centers.
