Keep Geekie in AHL or play him 3C - 2C is his ceiling and playing him there right off the bat is a mistake
Put Stephenson as 1C or 2C
Could probably trade Kerfoot for a defenseman, or trade him for picks and trade picks for a defenseman</div></div>
I feel the same about reinhart but younger star level players arent really hitting UFA anymore and I like his grit and experience. I would start Geekie in the AHL at the start of the year with aku raty being the fill in, if he isnt ready he could stay down but this is a more optimistic view of the team. Stephenson would be better in the middle 6 imo and yeah im not sure if there is much demand for kerfoot though

was jeannot this bad in nashville too? If so how did he get that many points?

are the kraken ready to call wright a bust
why is wright a bust? His numbers in the AHL this year were good for a 19/20 yr old and maybe they arent on the level of a 4th overall pick but he is very good defensively and still a good player. Even if his numbers were awful teams don't normally trade top 10 picks until they turn like 24 years old. If the Kraken were to look to trade Wright at this moment he would probably be worth a early to mid 1st round pick

Bye Bye Macklin
The separation of 0.316%(CHI) and 0.291%(SJS) is not that big that is like 2 wins difference. Ultimately it doesnt really matter though because the last place team still only has around a 25% chance of getting the 1st OA pick.

Fitting Hanifin
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>CertifiedAverage</b></div><div>Maybe they could get him a little bit cheaper but I'd have to imagine that they'll have to compete with VGK and FLA.
Why do you think they would prefer Stamkos? Sentimental reasons or simply because they need F more than D?
Given how much they paid for Jeannot, I also thought they wouldn't want to trade him. But it's worse to double down on your mistakes than accept them. Maybe I should have included him in this scenario in the trade for Texier and Olivier (which, as it stands, is probably only accepted if CBJ can use the picks to improve their team with a young player now).
I'm not a TBL fan but I would only do it if I could replace him with a more cost-effective option (maybe Monahan?) and if I really believed that Hanifin can replace Hedman down the road. Tampa's forward group really lacks depth, it seems to me.</div></div>
florida wouldnt be able to afford Hanifin and Hanifin has said the biggest factor in wanting to leave Calgary was wanting to be on the east coast closer to home (boston) so unless he really likes his time in Vegas it sounds like that might just be a pure rental for them. Not quite sure why he prefers Tampa over Boston though he never mentioned why, assuming taxes and weather? Yeah mostly sentimental reasons, can't see them parting with Stamkos unless he is asking for something they can't afford.

Fitting Hanifin
Tampa could probably get Hanifin a bit cheaper at around 6.5 due to no state income tax but Im not sure if they would sign Hanifin over Stamkos. The only way to have both Hanifin and Stamkos is to trade Sheary and Jeannot and idk if JBB is willing to cut his losses on those signings. They also might want to resign duclair which would mean they couldnt get Hanifin

Haven't seen Jeannot play in a while, what's his prob been?</div></div>
AFP analytics has stammer's projected cap hit at $6,304,375 for 3 years and when you factor in the no state income tax and the fact that he wants to stay in tampa I think 5.5 at that term is pretty reasonable. They could do something like 8 years and he doesnt play out the end of the contract but I figured I might as well make it 5 because he said he wanted to play 5 more years and I wanted to make it fair. Jeannot just makes too much money for the bottom 6 and him and Sheary are the only tradeable assets that could be moved to make space for Hanifin.

I just meant for next season once their roster his healthy again it looks like they are only going to be able to keep one of hanifin or stephenson unless Lehners contract is terminated or he is put on LTIR.
