Saad to Pitt
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>ChiHawk</b></div><div>No way should Chicago entertain this especially with an extension in place with Saad. Saad is plain and simple a better player then McCann who has trouble staying on the ice. Then adding in good prospects in Barratt and Beaudin plus a 2nd for a streaky Murray who's coming off of a bad season, why? Murray's rights are worth a 2nd round pick so another way to look at it is giving up Barratt, Beaudin and Saad plus an extension for McCaan...no way should the Hawks touch this. I get McCann has upside at his age and may become a better player then Saad but you're giving up too much for an unknown.</div></div>
Because I think it'll be hard to give Saad the $$ and term he wants. CHI will be getting a #1 goalie who is only 26 (I know Murray had a down year, but he's won 2 cups and has a career .914). Also adding a nice Top 6 winger who is only 24 with a more reasonable contract. With Regula, Carlson, Mitchell, Boqvist, Vlasic - It feels like Beaudin could be expendable. Barratt is a nice prospect, but you have to give something to get something...Just my two cents

Gaudreau to the Island
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>littlejerryseinfeld</b></div><div>you can only sign an extension 1 year in advance of your contract being up.
they are about to give barzal a boatload of money too</div></div>
Maybe it’s a handshake agreement...New rink and competitive team who knows maybe he sticks around

Gaudreau to the Island
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>littlejerryseinfeld</b></div><div>I agree that this is a bad trade.
But the Islanders new arena will be 33 miles from Newark.</div></div>
I mean it’s a hypothetical - this puts him home in the general tri state area and maybe has an extension in place before the trade goes through. 3 first rounders is not a crazy price for a 26 yo who produces at a point per game. Plus with Cizikas the money is pretty close

Pietrangelo
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>MaxDomi13</b></div><div>How will u resign Carlo, McAvoy, Rask?</div></div>
IDK Bos seems to get these guys to sign team friendly deals...Plus you have 14 M off the books with Rask and Krejci up...Also have a lot of tradeable young players if worst comes to worst in Grez, Debrusk, Kase, Bjork

Pietrangelo
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>DiehardRedWingsFan58</b></div><div>Yeah i know Sweeney wouldn't target Pietrangelo anyways, Pietrangelo would be seeking probably 7 x $10M from any team not named St Louis. And i doubt Sweeney would offer him that much. When he can get krug for much cheaper and put up similar numbers.</div></div>
Prob unrealistic but figured he might take a slight haircut to play on a cup contender...If he wants that kind of money he's probably playing on a bad team...Krug is going to want 7 - 8 so I'm not sure how much you're really saving but who knows

Attempt to make room for Hall
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Richard88</b></div><div>Kessel made sure Arizona was the only place Pittsburgh could trade him, so why is he now suddenly going to change his mind? Has he already grown tired of Arizona's selection of golf courses and hot dogs?
Detroit should probably focus on adding players who fit their core rather than adding aging veterans.</div></div>
The Kessel deal doesn't really have to happen it was just a change of scenery move...Detroit is only taking one year of Hjalmarsson and is getting a better player in Fischer

Attempt to make room for Hall
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>DiehardRedWingsFan58</b></div><div>Hall is't signing that cheaply, And Detroit says no weren't taking on older players and trading younger pieces that fit our rebuild timeline.</div></div>
He gets the 8th year if he stays in ARI so figured it might be worth it...Detroit picked up Timashov on waivers and they're moving up 2 rounds in the draft plus getting a better prospect in Fischer (although he had a tough year)

Would you do broberg and like a pick instead of bouchard?</div></div>
No Bouchard is ahead of Broberg by a pretty considerable margin IMO

TOR ARI Trades
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>PleaseBanMeForMyOwnGood</b></div><div>I wouldn't do that if I was the Leafs. I think Nylander is way better than people give him credit for and I would not move him unless it was a dream scenario that you just can't pass up. This isn't that. Klingberg is good but he's not really what TO needs. They have Rielly as their big offensive PP qb and what they need are guys who can fit the system and compliment what we have. Losing Nylander is a huge loss upfront and I think that isn't at all necessary for them to do.</div></div>
Very Fair - Thinking they may need to shed salary
