Damn, I feel sick to my stomach. You’ll be missed Phil. Part of one of the best lines in hockey for 2 years, Montréal’s 1C for the last 4. There’s been some great times, and the playoff run this year was magical. I wish you all the best in LA. This definitely hurts the most out of any players the habs have lost in my time as a fan.

I’d just like to say, “Good stick Lehky.”
No I’ll go lay down in my bed and cry for awhile.

He's an Elite defensive centers, one of the best in the league. He creates great offense but can't finish. He's ideally worth about 4.5 Million

I see you didn’t watch a single game of Montréal’s playoffs this year.

I generally like this contract. He's going to be Carolina's starter. Still can't believe Carolina chose to trade Ned though... what a disaster

Sad to see Danault gone, but he got paid about a million more than he's worth. All the best in LA

I’m heartbroken, but thanks for everything Phil. Wish the Habs had matched that offer. He’s going to be an incredible mentor for LA’s young centers.

(SEA/COL) - MacDermid for 2023 4th
If this was SEA's plan all along, they could've easily picked Clague instead and gotten significantly more. They still win in a vacuum, as they got a pick for one of the worst dmen in the league, but there was some definite opportunity cost here.

I agree this is an awful move but I think he's done a really good job otherwise. Got decent value for Graves especially since he was going to be gone for nothing and that Makar extension was great. Draft was solid too

Benning is stupid which is why we hired the Sedins. If he ever even considered something like this, the Sedins are there to chain him to his chair and take over from there.

(BUF/PHI) - Ristolainen for Hägg, 1st, 2nd
Buffalo can be the next OTT if they trade Eichel for a huge haul of picks/prospects. They have a real opportunity to turn this franchise around a start a 3-5 year rebuild from the ground up, just like the Sens did when they dealt Stone, Pageau, EK65, Turis, and Duchene. This is the Sabres opportunity for a transformational rebuild that most teams never get the chance to do, unless they get extremely lucky in the Draft (NJD, VAN).

Can he turn into one? Sure, but it’s highly unlikely. WOW, Romanov wasn't even in the NHL for the last 3 seasons and played 3rd pairing in the KHL as an 18 y.o. Then came to Canada as a 19 y.o. and while he did not get to participate in the bubble showed he belonged in Montreal through the next training camp and regular season.
