Just for fun.. Complete turnover
You would have to retain at least 3M$ on Draisaitl's contract wich would kill the deal. And getting 2x 1st round picks (Scherbak/Juulsen) for a 2nd and 3rd doesn't do it.
Draisaitl is a 55 pts 2nd line center without McDavid. Your GM gave him 8M$... Ouch!!!!
EDM is going nowhere again.

Absolutly no chance at giving Pacioretty for the piece of **** Perry.

Eller is a big/strong and great pock handling 3rd line center who thinks he's a super star and persent himself only 50% of the time. He's not a hard working player.
Byron is a small body natural speedy center who works his ass off every game. If he didn't, he'll be gone to AHL in a heart beat because of his size. He can play LW/C/RW on any line any night.
He is fast and provokes things all the time but he has no hands when left 1 on 1 with goalies. If he had hands, he would be the Martin St-Louis of this era.

i'd rather the Weber contract atleast it has value to us because of our coach having great chemistry and loves Weber</div></div>
I'm gonna tell you a secret. It's not that much of a secret if you watch Mtl games an can evaluate a goalie's performance.
Last year, Price was suddenly bad like this year for about 6 weeks. At the end of those 6 wks, the head-coach (bi-polar) Michel Therrien was fired and suddenly Price was doing good again (like magik).
After the GM did not resigng Radulov and personal friend Markov, Price has been losing games with 3, 4 and 5 goals a game non stop all year... Very bizarrrrr...
Unfortunatly the owner stated last month that Marc Bergevin is not going anywhere. So I expect Price will miraculously become again the best goaltender in the world in October. If not, he'll be traded before the end of Oct.

Price is an exceptional player and Draisaitl is an average player without McDavid. No way Mtl trades Price for an overpaid 2nd line fwd.

Riley Nash at 925,000$?????
He just hit the UFA and is looking at the most important contract of his career!!!
IMO I would guess he is going to get 4M$/season for at least 4 years. But possibly 4.5M$ for 5 or 6 years.

Byron is like a swiss knife at a bargain price. Mtl fans would be very sad if the GM lets him go for a late 2rd round. Makes no sense. I dought they let him go for even a late 1st round pick.

ROR & Larsson for Drouin, Danault's RFA rights, First Round Pick 2019 & Schlemko.</div></div>
Considering I would have 4M$ left to sign Riley Nash as a replacement for Danault, I would very much go for that trade. Patch and ROR together on the 1st line with Kovy... Mtl fans would be very excited but very sad to see 2 Quebec boys leaving.
Having 2nd taughts, I would probably go for it if you keep Larsson and we give a 2nd round pick in 2019. 1st round pick is out of question.

Buf could get Pacioretty vs ROR this year and signing UFA center Riley Nash and probably getting Dahlin this coming draft. Next year you could go for Karlsson or a talented LW and you'll have a hell of a team.
Why would players not want to come to an optimistic team like that?

I do agree Petry is not that bad, but he's not an impact player. So my lineup is based on getting rid of high salaries who are not helping the team and getting 5 players (2x Def / 3x Fwd) who are going to have an impact. I traded Petry IOT get needed money and it would not have made sense to have him on a 3rd pair with Juulsen as an healty scratch.
Bottom line, this is all for fun. Don't take it too seriously. I respect your opinion.

If Patches is going to score 40 or 50 with Eichel you should look to get yourself a real nice center to play with Patches for one year instead of trading for our 3rd Center who is overpaid.....</div></div>
ROR is a great center who is forced down because of youger guys coming up. I would love to have ROR and Pacioretty in Mtl but I'm not giving Weber or Price. Mtl desperatly need a 1st line center and you have to give something IOT get something. Would you prefer Drouin or Galchenyuk instead? They are less valuable then Patcioretty.

Mtl just had a team moral issue this year and Pacioretty's stats were low I agree. Compare the stats of ROR and Patch over the last 6 years and you'll see his real value. On top of it, Pacioretty has never played with a talented center in the NHL. Playing with Eichel would surely bring him in the 40, maybe even 50 goals season.
He is very loyal and will defenatly resign. If he doesn't, BUF will have a chunk of money to sign a quality UFA.
Here are some UFA 2019: E. Karlsson, Doughty, T. Seguin, Panarin, Couture, Pavelski and many more.

I think Patch would be very welcomed in Buffalo and a perfect LW for Eichel. In the mean time, they have a O'Reilly as a 3rd line center paid 7.5M$ for 5 more years.

Throw in a Shaw for V.Rask swap and I’ll take the Carolina deal. It give’s both players a chance to be on another team (and the Canes love taking former Hawks players).
Idk if Kovi would want to go to MTL, or if they should pay Stastny 7M or JC 10M.</div></div>
It is tough to convince players to come to Mtl. Overpaying 1 or 2M$ more then what others are offering might do it.
Mtl is a scary place for 3 reasons: Income tax, Climate & Agressive medias.

MTL REBUILT (YEAR ONE)
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>tankbarzal</b></div><div>lol JT isn't going to a team that is rebuilding</div></div>
Hey bud, Mtl is stuck with Marc Bergevin as a GM. This guy is unfit to be a GM.
This means there is absolutly zero chance of seing JT in Mtl in a quick UFA rebuilt or a full rebuilt like this scenario. This is just an internet fantasy and for fun at the end of the day.
But in reality, the notion of rebuilding a team in this new era of parity doesn't have as much weight then before since a team can turn around pretty fast now. Just look at Colorado, they're back in the playoffs already.

I taught of it but, the best trades are those where both sides feel like a win/win situation. I feel it would be easier to pick the interest of other teams and getting a faster trade. It always cost something to get what you wish.
