Really a great looking team. Upgraded at every position, keeping the same core and added players that’ll stay long term.

Yeah I like how it looks too. Grubby out but adding klefbom while retaining Carlsson would be a tremendous win. Byron is a solid winger.

Byron is like a swiss knife at a bargain price. Mtl fans would be very sad if the GM lets him go for a late 2rd round. Makes no sense. I dought they let him go for even a late 1st round pick.

Neat team. Great defense.

I'm not sure how much Hjalmarsson plays behind Orlov and Klefbom, or ahead of Djoos and Bowey.

If you make that first deal to reduce salary and increase trade value, you could then sign Kempny and Jerabek to sit in the press box, and package Hjalmarsson with Connolly for Lehkonen and a 2nd.

Eller is a big/strong and great pock handling 3rd line center who thinks he's a super star and persent himself only 50% of the time. He's not a hard working player.
Byron is a small body natural speedy center who works his ass off every game. If he didn't, he'll be gone to AHL in a heart beat because of his size. He can play LW/C/RW on any line any night.
He is fast and provokes things all the time but he has no hands when left 1 on 1 with goalies. If he had hands, he would be the Martin St-Louis of this era.

Not at all how I saw Eller all year this season, although he might have been like that in Montreal, he's definitely not that here. He's been consistently one of the caps most hardworking players and had his best season of his career statistically. Also, why do you think Byron's size is that much of a problem for Montreal? The game is so fast and skilled now, and there are so many smaller players thriving in today's NHL.
