You must be nuts to think he will get that. Max and I mean someone crazy enough to pay 8 years 64 million.

Is this possible?
The only way I see EDM making that move is with retained salary because almost half of the line up is taken up by Connor and Leon. So 31.5 mil a year between 3 isn't ideal. Id retain salary on Price or you'd have to take back Lucic
I could see an RNH, Lucic, Talbot, 1st rounder for Price, Hudon, Shaw

That's such a nice lineup but why would a team that has a solid goalie want that contract of Price? EDM has a better chance of bailing you out than anyone else in the league. (Besides Garth Snow)

Chicago Selling?
Take out Wotherspoon and the 4th and make it more like a 2nd oh wait seems like you're out of those. LOL. Chicago won't retain. Try and add some value besides fringe NHLers. Ferland is nice but needs a new contract.

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>goodfella</b></div><div>Beagle and Carlson could get more for longer term elsewhere.
Dell maybe if he gets no other offers (which he will).
Not sure this fixes the issue of lack of depth on the back end.</div></div>
Beagle is a 4th line center I don't think he is getting any more money. Carlson is a top 2 defenseman on the capitals so he would be for the Hawks. Helps the Blackhawks depth a ton because Oesterle can play a top 4 instead of top 2. Dell is not going to get picked up by another team unless its the Coyotes. If any of these guys get paid more than I state they might have a huge problem if they decline. Carlson is the only one can get a little more but if he wants to stick with a winning team than he wouldn't mind taking a little pay cut.

Trades with WPG, PHI, VAN, STL
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>PenGoater99</b></div><div>WPG: They're giving up a bit too much
PHI: Same (giving up a bit too much)</div></div>
WPG: AA is a solid 2/3 line center that scores 40 points. Derek Stephan went to the Coyotes for way more and is paid way more than AA he only scores 10 points more a season.
PHI: Hartman is a TWF that scores 30-40 points and is an RFA after this season. If Shaw can get two 2nds than Kempney and Hartman can get a 2nd and a prospect.
I don't see them trading Hino or Hartman though.

3 Year Plan: Pt 2
The defense would get worse and you didn't add anyone to help the decline on Seabs and Keith. You are relying on the growth of are young players to keep up the PK and PP. So you would need to sign a center.

Tampa could easily find a contender that would take Callahan. Its just Arizona is going to be farther from the cap floor in two years if they cant resign OEL. So this would make perfect sense for them to take him to help mentor the younger players.

AA has an NMC but if he did waive it. The Hawks would want Sorokin somehow in this deal. Brock, Sorokin, and a late round pick would do it in my mind.

Seabrook's Real Trade value
When people say he is untradable. I think well Debrincat and Seabrook would go through. And the other team would make out like bandits. Ok. So the base has to be Seabrook and a 1st Rounder plus? (I know there are GMs out there that would love Seabrook so let's keep those bums out of this.)

Eh yes and no. They are seeing right now that an elite goalie is winning them games. So until they have a shutdown defense again. They will value the goalie position more than when Niemi and Huet were around.

Making Moves Next Offseason. How does it look?
In two years the Coyotes will need more dead contracts to take on if they aren't able to sign OEL so the Hossa contract wouldn't be big to take on. But if you are the Hawks why not just keep putting him on LTIR and spending up to the cap as usual. Plus the possibility that he does come back after being off the medicine would be a huge boost to the teams two-way game. So wasting a valuable pick to move a guy that on LTIR not worth it in my opinion. Especially, because the number of resources it going to take to move a 34/35-year-old Seabrook in a couple of years.

What would it take to move Seabrook to this Seattle team.
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>DoctorBreakfast</b></div><div>There needs to be a Seattle team first. Projections have them being NHL ready in 2020. If you think Seabrook is bad now, imagine how he'll be in 2-3 years. It's going to take a king's ransom to get Seattle to take Seabrook.</div></div>
Well, we will see but if David Clarkson was able to be traded I think Seabrook will be a little easier to move...
