Is it just me or does it feel like its just back to the Maurice years doing the same things over and over and over again expecting different results... 😕

Playoff Lines
Personally I'd like to see Ehlers and Connor swapped, maybe Namestnikov in Appleton's spot too, gotta try something to get more offense out of that 3rd line on a more consistent basis imo, I realize Bones wouldn't try what I'm suggesting though 🙄

I'm a broken record about this but for the love of ****ing gawd until Vialrdi is back they need to put Nino onto the top line, Iafallo isn't working and line 3 won't change cause it rarely scores anyway, Nino's talent really goes to waste playing with those two stonehands

Heinola in for Schmidt is a bit of a stretch for me as he has been a decent 3rd pairing defenseman with Samberg this year. However, I do like the idea of sitting Pionk for a game or two as the guy needs a reset and hopefully he can bounce back.</div></div>
Heinola normally does well with Pionk. But I do agree that Pionk needs to sit for one game

Well now i have seen everything.
Boston laughs their ass off. Decline. Pasta is not even given the chance to block it. Which he would.
There might be 2 or 3 players in the league that Boston might consider moving Pasta for.
The Jets could offer their entire org and would still get declined.

Me too. He's been awesome
Crazy to think that none of these other teams offered him a starting gig last offseason.
Imagine if the jets got him on a two year deal? They'd be able to trade him this offseason for a nice package

I had a couple of friends in a group that year who went to the MIN and NSH series, but then realized if they had any hope of affording a finals ticket they'd have to sell the VGK series tickets to partially finance the finals if the Jets made it. They had no regrets as they had fun in the street party anyway during the VGK series.</div></div>
If the weather is nice...I'd probably have more fun at the street parties anyways haha.

I went to the first playoff game last year vs Vegas but man, those whiteout parties are a blast as well! I was shocked as I paid less than $100 per ticket ($98 something but figured it would be more). What I didn't realize when I bought them is that they were literally in the last row of the upper deck lol.

Jets lineup after Deadline
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Mr_Canoehead</b></div><div>Forwards:
- The third line (Niederreiter-Lowry-Appleton) is one of the best checking lines in hockey so I doubt they would break that up.
- Once Vilardi is healthy, I suspect Bowness will put Ehlers back on the 2nd line and Iafallo will go back to the 4th line.
- Perfetti as a C experiment has not worked out at all this year, so I would put Namestikov as the 4C and put Perfetti back on the wing who will probably be first man out if they want to get Barron more playing time.
Defensemen:
- There is really no reason to change the top 4, so Morrissey-Demelo and Dillon-Pionk will probably stay as they are
- I think Schmidt/Miller will platoon at 3RD to make sure they both get enough game action.</div></div>
you nailed it
Perfetti, unfortunately, probably finds himself in the press box when everyone's healthy.

Draft splash
I don't see either side making this swap, they would be trading what they need for what they can potentially get in this draft/or already have in their system. McGroarty would be great but we could end up with Celebrini or Lindstrom to go with Dach, Suzuki, Slafkovsky, Caufield and Roy. Where as Hutson provides something we don't have and likely can't get in this draft. On the flip side Winnipeg has Morrissey and Heinola with Samuelsson as a potential ppqb down the road and Morrissey is locked up for 5 more years making it even less likely they move him off the PP

You are probably right but Hutson would fill a need. Winnipeg is a the bottom of the league for points by defenseman. Probably that both players won’t be move.

This two month cold streak of 2 points in 20 games is brutal (he started with 29 points in 40 games).</div></div>
Holy **** what a drop off in production 😳
In lots of the TSN broadcasts of late Dan Robertson has dropping little tidbits about many of these guys going cold over quite a long stretch of games, not sure if he'd mentioned Perfetti though.

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Birtle34</b></div><div>A little heavier petan, possibly biased but never been a big fan of his skills. Skilled offensive players better have a cannon if they aren’t fast, at absolute best a poor man’s nugent Hopkins, but that is probably reaching.</div></div>
I've heard he's kind of a pudgy little dude, he probably needs an intense summer of training and bulking up, needs to work on his speed too.
To Perfetti's credit he does try to drive past dmen to the net sometimes and goes to the corners/net front but he just gets tossed around more often then not.
The Petan comparison is a good one, neither guy lacks for hockey IQ, both are excellent passers, playmaker types but both are small, slow, sluggish skaters. Both were centers in junior but are converted to wingers at the NHL level, if the Jets wanted them to be centers they certainly didn't do a good job developing either in the AHL for that role. Both are too small and slow to be effective centers in the NHL.
Agree that skilled players better have a cannon shot or something that separates them from the rest like being super fast. I'm trying to think of a smaller, skilled winger who's more of a playmaker then goal scorer, Zuccarello maybe? A guy like Zuccarello is quicker, stronger and has more jam then Perfetti seems to.
Lots of interesting players got selected after Perfetti, wonder what us Jets fans are going to be thinking about his selection at 10th overall in a couple years.. 🤔
