Jets aren't likely to part with McGroarty. I think they like the idea of a power forward with a great shot and a potential future captain.

I don't think Hutson could unseat Morrissey as the PP quarterback next season. Jets have organizational depth on LD.

You are probably right but Hutson would fill a need. Winnipeg is a the bottom of the league for points by defenseman. Probably that both players won’t be move.

If the Jets would actually play Heinola instead of Stanley, that would address the points by defenseman when it comes to young players.

Before the deadline I probably would have done the Flames trade, now I don't know. Gotta wait and see what the guys we brought in can do.

I don't see either side making this swap, they would be trading what they need for what they can potentially get in this draft/or already have in their system. McGroarty would be great but we could end up with Celebrini or Lindstrom to go with Dach, Suzuki, Slafkovsky, Caufield and Roy. Where as Hutson provides something we don't have and likely can't get in this draft. On the flip side Winnipeg has Morrissey and Heinola with Samuelsson as a potential ppqb down the road and Morrissey is locked up for 5 more years making it even less likely they move him off the PP

Calgary won't be trading for Harris.
