Team Canada Best-On-Best
If you have RNH on the 1st line because he's teammates with McDavid and chemistry is important than you need to have Toews pair up with Makar.
Also a player like Suzuki is better suited for a 4th line type role than Tavares IMO
Also with Vets like Crosby, Pietrangelo and Stamkos likely to make the team, I'd guess Canada would want to play some younger guys like Barzal and Chabot over Giroux, Stone(injury prone not old) and Burns.
I'd probably go with Thompson, Binnington and Jarry in nets
I wouldn't complain if Canada sent your team to the Olympics though

These are clearly all players drafted by Chicago. Who doesn’t get that?

Yak is plying his trade for St. Petersburg, in the KHL. That means he's excluded from this list.

Probably had too much RWs; should swap him with Ryan.

Realistic 2018-2019
The trade with the Oilers is bad - NYR shouldn't give up a good d-man who had a bad year under a coach that wouldn't change the defensive scheme even if the players were literally on fire. Taking on Lucic's contract should return MUCH more than swapping third round picks.
I like the Buffalo deal but I don't think they'll retain that much of his contract - maybe $1mil, if at all.
Unsure if Calgary would accept that trade - also from the NYR standpoint I'm reluctant to trade Ronning before we see what the kid can do at higher levels. I know it's only the WHL, but 60+ goals is impressive for anyone. He could be a top six forward and he could crack the roster as early as 2019 depending on how he develops the next 12 months.
Big fan of the Hayes and Skjei deals. If NYR can get close to what you have here, I'd consider it a win.

2018-2019 Changes
So you think neither of the Rangers' two recent Euro FA signings make the roster? Especially considering this lineup has two guys shoehorned into playing RW, I think both Lindqvist and Meskanen should get a look, since they both can play the right side.
I don't think the Artie trade is necessary. If you want to get rid of Vesey there are other assets you could get in return besides a 3C. Maybe Vesey to EDM for a 2nd round pick? I just think this move clogs up the roster down the middle, as Chytil/Lias should get a look as the 3C, and if not them then Spooner.
Getting Dougie would be an awesome move for a team that is oddly looking to immediately accelerate their 'rebuild' with the Kovy signing.

Best Active Players to Play For Wild
Off the top of my head:
-Clutterbuck, Brodziak, Cullen, Tuch, basically any other FWD over Moulson, Ennis, and Ward.
-Olofsson, Prosser, and Reilly over Stoner and Falk
-Stalock over Keumper, but it's debatable

I understand..
I just thought it was funny seeing his name considering how terrible he was with the Hawks..... At least the other guys on the list were pretty good with the Hawks.
Daley is a perfect example of a player that looks done with one team but really isn't.

I like it but I think I'd keep Hayes and maybe not resign Smith with Shatty and Faulk down the right side I'd hate to waste him on the third pair with Staal.
