<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>HawksFan28</b></div><div>LOL at Trevor Daley ..... Daley was terrible with the Hawks.
It sucked to see Sharp traded, but I thought Daley was going to be awesome and would play a significant role on that team. I thought Daley was the type of player that would fit that team like a glove...... Well, sometimes players that should have worked out don't and Daley is a perfect example of that. Of course then Daley gets traded to Pittsburgh later that season and does what he should have done with the Hawks on the Pens.</div></div>
100% agree. I put him in because he's one of the best to Play For the Hawks currently. But yeah he was bad with them

That was a tough debate. Niemi, Raanta or Darling. But I went with the best currently of the three.

Players that are not yet officially retired and not playing overseas. So "active" players

I should have clarified. Not retired, and not playing overseas. Iggy hasn't retired yet and he's still a UFA and 68 is playing for kladno

Totally agree that he's worth a 5th. But with limited centers available and 25 points, he can bring back a 3rd.

Yeah, they would get back a lot more. Plus, Gusev is signed for severally more years with no real intention of coming over, so that would be a huge risk.

Nash/Hjalmarson
Love the Nash deal, but even though I think somebody overpays, I don't think the Ducks give up Ritchie. I could see them sending Jacob Larsson or Kase instead and the 2nd turns into a 1st or compensatory 1st

You can slam these deals all you want, but the fact is, at the deadline, people overpay. This is deadline market value. I don't think Desharnais is worth a 3rd or Nash is worth two potential 1st rounders, but that's what they could get. Remember, the Lightning got Callahan and 2 1sts for a 40 year old Martin St. Louis...

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>PenGoater99</b></div><div>I really doubt Tampa gives up their best prospect and 2 firsts for 2 years of an aging McDonagh</div></div>
Rangers aren't actively shopping McDonagh, so in this scenario, if a Tampa wants him, they're going to have to send a package like this to get him. Especially if the Rangers eat 2 million of his salary and send them a decent B prospect who is ready for a bottom 6 role with another organization next season.

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>iheart2fart</b></div><div>Nobody wants Rick Nash, certainly not at that cost.</div></div>
I understand that fans all think that. But GMs don't. Every year at the deadline people over pay, especially if a team takes 50% of the salary. Look at past deals at the deadline. Patrick Eaves, Eric Staal, Martin Hanzal, Andrew Ladd, Antoine Vermette. None of these guys were worth what the teams paid for them, but it happens every year. This is a realistic price for a Rick Nash this year, especially if a defenseman is added for a team that needs help on the back end.

Didn't know Don Sweeney was on this board. Relax and let people have some fun. Go make your own. Who cares about who's practiced with who this is just a stupid projection

Because it's fun to see how angry people like yourself get when I'm doing something to pass time in the hospital waiting to have my child. Get angry at something more important in life. This is meant to be fun and waste time.
