Rangers pass. Don't get me wrong zucc is worth more than kakko but it doesn't make sense for the rangers to trade a 23yo for a 36yo. Also if they wouldn't add kakko in for guentzel then they aren't trading him for a rental or old player

If you wanna use history rn anderson has 19 points in 79 games and make 5.5m

No dead serious. Look at this season laf is better than slaf... idc about age. Laf earned his way up through a playoff team while slaf is doing well on a bad team with not a lot of options.

Caufield - Monahan - Newhook
Matheson - Suzuki
So yes... Slaf had to earn his spot. Coach Marty St.Louis literally said in a recent interview and corrected a reporter that Slaf didn't end up on the 1st line by happenstance, he earned it by rounding out his defensive game.</div></div>
What Marty gunna say??? Oh yeah the team sucks so we just put him there because we have no other option???? How to get fired real quick

He's still out performing Laf while playing the same top line minutes. It's also funny because you would actually think it makes it harder for Slaf on a crap team because teams only have one line to focus their best defensive players against.
All in all, our player is younger, playing better and has a higher ceiling. Ranger add for all those reasons</div></div>
I mean you're right on the younger part but that's it... and don't pull out the oh he's got more blah blah is the past 12 games bull... all you hab fans do to justify you players being better is pick and choose stats for a certain number of games to benefit your narrative. Look at the whole season and laf is better and next season laf will be better. Also how about how slaf is pp1 and laf is pp2 which gets maybe 15 seconds a pp. And before you say he should be better to get pp1 who's he going to overtake on the 4th best pp I'm the league???

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Joblow</b></div><div>That the whole point Slaf can occupy this role at 19 something Lafreniere wasn’t able to do. Slafkowsky isn’t their by default he have earn is spot. Last 38 games he have 34 points, 66 hits, 30 bs. Those number puts him in the top 50 in the league and top 40 forward. Lafreniere have been playing great, but he was far from the player he is today at the same age. If Slafkowsky continues is progression at 22 he will be a ppg power forward.</div></div>
Who on the habs did slaf beat out to "earn" that spot??? Gallagher and anderson who have both been horrible??? Nah he got that spot because he was the best available option the habs had not because he "earned" it.

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Joblow</b></div><div>Comparing player at the same age, Slafkowsky is far ahead.
You can keep whining all you want, chance are Slafkowsky will turn out a better player then Lafrenière in a short future. In fact Slafkowsky have been one of the best forward in the league in the second half of the season.</div></div>
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Subbanator7667</b></div><div>One is a top line player at 20, the other just became one at 22. Add that Slaf is bigger, stronger and just as skilled and it's pretty easy to say that the Rangers would have to add</div></div>
Let's compare roles and toi at the same age. Slaf is playing top line because Montreal is a dumpster and laf was on the third line because the ranger already had top 6 players when we got him. He wasn't passing bread or kreider on the left side and had to adapt to the right.

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Cornbreadnhl</b></div><div>Liability defined = "a person or thing whose presence or behavior is likely to cause embarrassment or put one at a disadvantage". Mika has never done anything to embarrass or put the Rangers at a disadvantage.
As to negatives outweighing positives... how on earth does that apply to Mika? His positives easily outweigh any negatives. You're problem is his cap hit, but was that a problem 2 years ago when he had 81 points in 81 games? How about last year with 91 points in 82 games? No, I'm guessing it wasn't. He is having a down year offensively for him, but still has 64 points in 74 games while playing against the other teams top lines every night, and being instrumental is one of the best power plays and best penalty kill teams in the league. Not every player can have their best offensive year every year, but that doesn't mean they are a liability. He is only 30 and there is no reason he can't be a 80-90 point player again next season.</div></div>
Ok sorry didn't realize you wanted me to copy and past the definition for you. Anyway yeah if Mika is being a ppg player then he benefits the team more. Also him and kreider suck together 5v5 and I'd personally rather keep kreider.
