Are they physical enough

yeah ice time factors in but hyman is the perfect hybrid of gritty/skilled. he's a puck battle warrior in the corners but he's also tremendously skilled. he 100% counts as a playoff-built player imo</div></div>
I love Hyman and want him on my team anytime but I would not put him into a category of physical.

Building a heavy hitting Leafs team built for the playoffs
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>JaredOfLondon</b></div><div>if the leafs are too soft to compete in the playoffs, then how do they keep taking these supposed gritty teams to max games?</div></div>
They are at the bottom of the league in hits and possession-changing hits, while MTL is 1st in hits and 2nd in possession-changing hits. Montreal has the tools to annoy us
Thats why i say Habs in 4

Even without him which is foolish to even entertain they still have Leon who is second in the league by a considerable margin and have a Norris candidate and the best starter currently in the north.</div></div>
yes for sure, my point was more directed to the supporting cast around him and for the depth which isnt very good, and yes hes second in points, theres minimum 3 guys ahead of nurse so hes not really a norris candidate considering theres 3 nominees.

I cant see the sabres moving eichel to the leafs unless they go back to the adams and norris divisions. Im starting to think they take less to move him out west. So we play eichel once a year and its at 1030pm on a tuesday night.

Leafs win it. They've been able to shut down McDavid and Draisaitl and thats all you need to do to beat the Oilers in a series. Habs in the 1st round will be a more difficult opponent for the Leafs.

Don't see Kerfoot getting scratched. He's been really good this year, offensively at least.
Could see Mikheyev getting scratched though. Although's he's been good defensively, he's been non existent offensively. If Nash is playing, I don't think Mikheyev is needed (they will have enough PKers).
But I like those lines overall.

Leafs Playoffs
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>NazemKadri43</b></div><div>I know the sample size is small, but he looked really good with Brodie in one of the games</div></div>
Trust me, I am a huge advocate for Sandin. I wanted him to be a leaf all season this year, however he had an injury. Last year I wanted Sandin in the lineup. He is the future of the leafs and their best defensive prospect by a mile. The defense core has been good this year though, and I doubt Keefe makes a change as large as dropping Rielly to the third and Sandin to the first in the playoffs, as much as I want to see Sandin given that chance

Leafs Playoffs
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>NazemKadri43</b></div><div>Brodie exposed how poor defensively Rielly is. We already have two very strong puck moving defensemen in Brodie and Sandin, making Rielly expendable. Next season, I want the Leafs to be committed to stronger defense, and with guys like Oleksiak and Savard available in free agency, we could have:
Sandin - Brodie
Muzzin - Savard
Oleksiak - Bogosian</div></div>
I would love that. But I doubt they put all that pressure on Sandin. Next year they should absolutely move Rielly for picks to free up capspace, then acquire a guy like Oleksiak. I think Savard will probably want to stay in Tampa

I really like all the UFA players you signed and have also been wondering what Rielly could be traded for as well as Minnesota native Holl and probably Kerfoot. I expect Dermott is going to Seattle.
I was wondering though with the trade assets could we target the other Foligno and let Nick return to Columbus?

Nash plus Hyman equals checking line.
Simmonds can't handle that assignment.
Nash is a purely defensive C.

Galch does not deserve a spot, I'd drop him out of the lineup for the next game and not bring him back unless we have major injuries. He's horrible defensively and it has cost us many goals against.

Possibly but tonight the worst guy for the Leafs was Gally. His defensive issues are too much. It was his fault Elhers scored. He's been to blame for a lot of the goals against in the past few games. Never plays the high foward role properly. Right now, hyman and Folgino are in the top 6 and I'd keep the bottom 6 the same as it was today unless Nash is a clear upgrade over Brooks.
