I like the Leafs by quite a bit against the Oilers. Jets and Leafs would be a lot closer.

Math says that the Leafs should beat the Oilers in the playoffs: how many games is more or less up to how hard the Oilers are willing to compete with the Leafs.

Voodoo, wizardry, and bullsh*t suggests that the Oilers win this series in 7 as every cup they've ever won has had them go through Winnipeg in order to do it. Articles about the Leafs being unable to do anything under pressure ensue en masse. Younge Street burns. The hockey gods are fickle critters and won't take kindly to the breaking of tradition.

Unless you explicitly mean geographically, this is 100% false: the Jets are an objectively worse team than Edmonton. They can't score, have a mediocre blueline, and Hellebyuck hasn't been as great as that club needed him to be in order to be successful. Edmonton sports much more dangerous forwards, an equal-if-not-better blueline corps, and the magic Mike Smith is channelling right now rivals what Hellebyuck does on a nightly basis.

Besides that three-game series, Leafs-Oilers games have been very close all season. It'll be very good hockey to watch in the coming weeks.

Oilers honestly. We have been very good lately especially when we have Smith in. With Toronto going soft in the playoffs, we could beat them!

Hellebuyck hasn't been playing at a Vezina level and the Jets are being exposed for the mediocre team they are. Can't see McDavid and friends having much trouble tearing through them.

Toronto's a lot different though. The Leafs were able to smother them to 1 goal in 3 games, and most of the new faces were brought in specifically because they excel at playoff style hockey. I don't think either team would be able to walk over the other but I think Edmonton has to rely on their top guys more than Toronto does which could pose a problem.

Leafs were able to shut down mcdavid 3 games in a row that’s extremely impressive il give them full credit for that but since then mcdavid has hit another level of play it’s incredibly insane what he is doing can anyone reasonably bet against him right now? Is it possible there is yet another level he’s going to turn on come playoffs every time say it’s not possible he exceeds those thoughts doesn’t matter what fan base you cheer for just sit back grab the popcorn and enjoy getting to see history being written.

Leafs have a better team, but that doesn’t mean they’ll win

Leafs win it. They've been able to shut down McDavid and Draisaitl and thats all you need to do to beat the Oilers in a series. Habs in the 1st round will be a more difficult opponent for the Leafs.

You are definitely wrong in my opinion. The leafs go very soft in the playoffs. The oilers don’t. With how Smith is playing.... good luck. You will be disappointed in your team.

Nope. Wrong again. Smith is 39 years old. The Leafs will easily outwork him. Foligno, Hyman, Muzzin, Bogosian, Holl, Sandin, Simmonds, Thornton, Nash aren't soft. The Leafs will easily bully the Oilers. Also, you know it's bad when the Oilers 2nd line will be the Leafs 4th line. Outside of McDavid and Draisaitl, the Oilers are built like an AHL team

If you think so... it’s funny how you said those guys don’t go soft, but you didn’t name your star players! Haha, so you agree? Smith will not get overworked, as he hasn’t yet this season. The leafs will not go far at all.

Smith is 39 years old, he will get outworked. The Oilers don't have the depth to get them past the 1st round. Why do you think they struggled against heavy teams in the Leafs and Habs?

Good for the leafs. That’s the regular season. The playoffs are way different. Why do you think the leafs never make it passed the first round? It’s because they suck in the playoffs, and go soft. Smith will not get out worked... he is a good goalie. Oilers are definitely good enough to make it passed the first round.

No one is scared of the "No depth" Oilers. Way too easy of a team to play against if I'm being honest. Soft, no defensive forwards, and no playoff experience in the lineup. The Oilers are good for the regular season, but will be exposed in the playoffs

I disagree, and you copied exactly what I said about the leafs haha about them being soft! We will be exposed in the playoffs?? Take a look at your soft leafs... good luck! Anyways... we will see. Also, we are the number 1 team that goalies are scared of.

No one sees the Oilers as a playoff team. When Tyson Barrie plays in your top 4, you have no room to talk. The Leafs will easily bully the Oilers. End of discussion, you lost

I do have room to talk when Barrie is in our top 4. Barrie is a good player. Just because he didn’t click with your leafs, doesn’t make him bad. Why is the oilers second in the division if no one sees them as a playoff team? You may want to do some research about that good player in Tyson Barrie as he’s been ripping apart the Canadian division. Haha, there is no losing in a discussion... that’s why it’s called a discussion.

Barrie's secondary assists doesn't count, and he is a defensemen you hope to see on the ice, knowing how bad defensively he is

He’s actually a good defence man. Secondary assists do count. Anyways, it was nice having a discussion with you! Good luck in the playoffs, and have a good day/night.
