Minnesota doesn't take that return for two of their best players. You probably need like a second as well

Offersheet Point
Point is a really good player, don't get me wrong, but the Habs don't need him.
They have so many prospects coming up the pipe, it just doesn't make sense.
It would also mean Kotkaniemi would be wasted
Same exact thing for Duchene

Would Montreal do this
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Nik_SH</b></div><div>Why this teams and why this trades:
1)Carolina want trade Hamilton (it was insiders information). So thats why Hamilton.
Why Subban? Open some cap space for Preds and add very big star (media person) to Carolina. They need it.
2)MTL need center, so thats an option. But idk who wants Turris right now.</div></div>
This doesn't make much sense for me.
Montreal doesn't do a one-for-one trade for Suzuki. You can have Turris but you also need to include draft picks, maybe even a first.
Why did you trade Subban. Not very realistic considering you probably could have gotten a second or a first if you streched it. Nashville would not part with PK easily anyway since he is a big reason why the Preds were revitalized.

Going full rebuild
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>BurgerBoss</b></div><div>It's not like I'm the biggest Hayes fan either, but $5,8M seems like a joke offer to me as an UFA. He's probably going to be TOP3 center available at the free agency, and on top of that he's coming from a 68-point pace season. Generally players with stats like that are never available at the free market.
Just for the sake of comparison, let's look at Stastny's contract. It's the easiest comparison because he ended up as an UFA from the same team and from the same role. He got a $6,5M x 3 contract for a 53-point season, and also he's 7 years older. Hayes is younger and has produced in a much better level - and in a worse team no less, because he has scored the most of that point total in NYR.
If there's going to be a bidding war coming at the free agency, I'm almost certain that Hayes's new contract will be around $7-8M per year.</div></div>
You're right. But at that bidding war example you gave, no way he deserves that money. Winnipeg would be stupid to let him go. Also, Hayes was on a playoff team each of his first three seasons there. They had a bad year last year, and are going to be .500 this year at best.

Just don't get this.
Even though you have a lot of cap space you overpaid for Hayes and Zucc (I don't care what anyone else says) I feel Hayes should be getting $5.8M tops.
Why'd you traded two of three best forwards?
I like the pick hoarding though

Marner
I don't get this. Why pay that much for Marner (I see it as a $1M - $2M overpayment), considering you gave up FOUR first round picks to get him. I think that's dangerous for a rebuilding team like Detroit regardless of how good Marner is.

Why did you get rid of Faulk, a very good, up and coming defenseman?

Draft Day Moves
Wouldn't leave Borgstrom out of the lineup considering what you gave up to get him.
Would consider buying out those Staal and Brendan Smith contracts
No need to trade the king if you bought out those deals that I mentioned
Trading Namestnikov and Strome wouldn't have been the worst idea.

I would've considered buying out that Marleau deal, that's way too much for him. Nylander should not be playing on the 3rd line anyway.

I rather think you overpaid for both Hayes and Zuccarello. Hayes should not be getting that much from NYR in the first place. Pay him $5.5M tops. Also Benn on the second line? Really?

Like this but do you really think the Sens take that Lucic contract without you retaining any salary? Well then again, Ottawa is dumb enough to do that...

So you're saying teams will offer more than $9.5M for Barzal or more than $6.4M for Reinhart? I can see teams offering more than $7M for Chabot, but still, I don't think players like Barzal or Reinhart are worth that much yet. Damn it forgot to offer compensation for so many players. Thought those guys who weren't offered compensation for were UFAs

Anaheim Ducks
Ok, so I have an explanation for all the moves I made. For the Perry trade, I knew that Ottawa would mismanage a trade like that and give me a first round pick. Plus, it was San Jose's pick, so I also just stole one from a rival. For the Getzlaf trade, I stole a most-probably high draft pick from another division rival and fleeced the Oilers in the process. I think Fowler would waive his NTC to go to Vegas, and the Ducks get a D-man in return that is better and more manageable salary. Personally, I think Theodore is a much better player than Cam Fowler and Fowler currently does not deserve that money for his performances. I understand explanations for the Silfverberg trade, but his contract is terrible and needed moving. I traded the horrible Henrique contract back to NJ for Severson. This team needed help on the blue line, and he certainly helps. Kesler had yet another horrible contract, and in the process got a player who was previously part of a division rival organization. Now in terms of FA, I got Point on a very realistic salary and he's a really good player to have on any team. I got Hayes for less than what he makes now, and it's an amount that he is more deserving of. Same with Kyle Connor, another great player to have, and he suits the team well I feel. Signing Mitch Marner. I mean it's Mitch Marner. Can't go wrong with that. Got Justin Williams for the 4th line, he was also part of an archrival.
Now, will Ducks fans or many people like this? Probably not. Many people seeing this don't like what I like, and that's fine. But, I did have logic for all the moves I made. I also think that this team I assembled will be better than what we see now both currently and down the road.

I actually wanted to sign Panarin in Free Agency, but forgot, so I signed Aho. Then I traded Aho for a bunch of picks and signed Panarin.
