Recoup assets for the new core
Love all those trades tbh (especially that LAK trade), some of them might be with wrong teams, but that lineup for next year would be really exciting
Gotta give sway a max deal or bridge 1-2 years so he doesnt become UFA after those 3 years, but well done

I like Gryz and all, but there's no room for him at the inn, thanks.

All of these teams tell BOS they have to wait until after UFA to make these moves. You’ll sign Bert and go over the cap, then get less return for the cap movements for cap space.
Canes wait it out, and only give you 2 x 3rd. They would be fine with BOS sending Hall elsewhere

I don't think the blues want another small defensemen. We already have Krug. Also we are trying to get younger players like 26 and younger and Grz doesn't fit in that age range

With only Cam Fowler and cusp NHLers Simon Benoit and Colton White at LhD, we'd like a stopgap veteran to pair with the rehabilitating Jamie Drysdale. But we don't expect him to sold at a loss -- something like a fifth or sixth from us would suit us fine.

If you want to swap Ullmark for Vilardi, Boston has to add a 1st.

I don't see the Kings trade Vilardi. He just broke out this year for them with 23 goals and 41 points overall in 63 games. Pretty sure he's part of their future

Vilardi for Ullmark and a 1st would be a stretch even. Goalies are the least valued position especially one who had 1 great year with an unreal defense ahead of him. Vilardi is much younger and a Center. Ullmark and multiple picks is a MINIMUM.

Most of those trades are very realistic. The two that stand out as not are:
LA: Need to add more than Ullmark. A 2nd or 1st would have to go with him and the 4th would go away. Maybe add a B+ prospect too?
Ana: A 3rd or 4th would need to go with Forbort with no return

I like this or perhaps a higher pick (2nd?) and take out Walker, either way its a good idea

20 man roster and you're still $2,053,969 over the salary cap.

People are gonna give you crap about that grzelcyk price tag…but i think it’s pretty close. Maybe bump the second down to a third or fourth.

I am Don Sweeney
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>dannibalcorpse</b></div><div>Agree with you on both points - if you're moving Grz, it would make more sense to move him for futures (he easily gets back a 2nd & a strong prospect as the absolute basement of his value), then use one of those assets to package in this Chych trade. He's gonna have less value to Arizona, because what are they going to do with him beyond trying to trade him for the next year and a half?
I think the other positive to that plan is that if you've moved Grz for other assets, you can probably shove Mike Reilly's contract into the Chych deal and get that off your books. I think the market has shown us this year that sellers are open to taking back bad contracts if it helps them meet their asking price, and I would assume Arizona would have zero problem with that.</div></div>
I think the plan is to not even approach arizona about chychrun, and has been taht way since the lindholm trade.
I would expect a first+ for grzelcyk. His contract is awesome.
Three way trade:
To Boston: Chychrun, Bjugstad
To Edmonton: Grzelcyk
To Arizona: Lohrei, BOS 23 1st, EDM 23 1st, Puljujarvi, Reilly.

Bruins biggest weakness is physicality. Schenn is that and I worry about Carlo's ability to stay healthy. Especially in playoffs.
Van seems a bit toxic right now and I think Garland is better than he has played.</div></div>

Bruins and Bo wont work
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>BenningTruther</b></div><div>thre could be a million other package out there that better suit the canucks needs, the bruins just dont have the assets. teams have multiple 2nds or good RHD/C prospects will be of way more value to the canucks. canucks are not gonna trade Bo for a winger as the main piece coming back.
Hoglander,Podkolzin,Klimovich,Karlsson are like the canucks only good prospects and they are all wingers</div></div>
Are we still calling hoglander a prospect? 22 and been given three seasons in the NHL, and it hasn’t worked. Podkolzin - same thing just one year behind. Klimovich….i mean, whatever. Who is Karlsson?
If the canucks are turning down offers because of those four players, every single member of the front office should be fired today.
