Agreed. I think if he had a strong game against Philly, he would have made the team. I little seasoning in Prov and he should be back up soon.

No surprise. Frederic and JFK both didn’t do enough this preseason to win the job. I think Frederic will be up at some point. Krug is now on IR, so he’ll be out about a month. I guess The Suitcase is still in the picture. Wouldn’t be shocked if he ends up sticking.

That’s definitely possible. Frederic is going to have to have a strong game Sat night, if he plays, to solidify that spot.

That’s definitely possible. I’ve just seen too many comments fr from the team about Nordstrom’s abilities as a PK. Leads me to think he’ll be in there.

As a Bruins fan, I would do this in a heartbeat. But, no way Columbus would do this. A Heinen/Anderson type trade would be more realistic.

This would put LA over the cap. You’d probably have to take Lewis of Clifford or subtract McQuaid to make it work cap-wise.

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>BeastMode5515</b></div><div>Since when is Klefbom better than Krug +Cehlarik?? I’ve asked this question many times and nobody’s answered me.</div></div>
I don't know if one is better than the other, because they are different types of dmen. Krug is certainly better offesnsively and on the PP. Klefbom is better defensively, and may be a little better as an all around dman. Why would it take more than Krug to get him? Probably because Klefbom is younger and signed long-term to a fairly reasonable contract.

I don't think Jacobs/Neely will be on board with doing nothing. I think they'll pressure Sweeney to make a move. I fairly significant one if TB lands Karlsson

is this realistic?
As a Bruins fan, I would love this. I think it's really unlikely that the NYR would take this. He's worth a lot more than this. He'll likely cost one of Heinen/DeBrusk/Bjork along with a LD prospect and a 1st.

It's actually a pretty fair deal. Philly gets 2 good young players that they have control over. Plus, a 1st round pick. Bruins get a 2nd pair RW to play with Krejci for the next 1.5 years.

I'd like to bring him in on a PTO and sign him if one of the younger guys just are not ready, or if there's a training camp injury. He always puts up points.

Bruins Adjusted From PoorTom's Presser Thread
Ok the way the cap works is at the deadline if you acquire a player the cap hit for your team, for that year only, is the prorated amount owed to him. If he has multiple years left on his contract, the cap hit reverts to the AAV at the end of the season. That's why if you look on capfriendly and look at a team you'll see "deadline cap space". So if you acquire McDavid at the deadline, the cap hit is only what's left of his AAV for that year not his full cap hit. After the season, you'd get hit with his full $12.5M AAV for the rest of his contract.

Spooner alone isn't going to get you a LD. His value isn't great right now.

Bruins-Realistic based on Cassidy's presser today
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>TopCornerShot</b></div><div>Where can this be heard from? Did you find a podcast?
I don't mind Backes with JFK as much as I mind him with Spooner, so that's a slight upgrade I think.
This lineup kinda screws over Cehlarik who was good in providence last year.
Not sure why we'd trade for Duclair if he wasn't even good enough to make the NHL.
Pasta should make more for a 7 year deal, atleast 6.5 IMO.
I think I made a mock with Beleskey on the 4th line and I claimed that he could just skate around and get his 2 hits per game to create energy, but I've kinda backed off that a bit. It still makes sense, but if we ever want to get rid of him we need to play him in the top 9. Noones going to trade for a nearly 4 million dollar 4th liner. If we can get him 15 goals and 20 assists, similar to what he got in 2015, we could ship him out for a late pick and make room for Cehlarik.
I give Beleskey the nod over Vatrano in all my mocks now, based on our need to get him going or he's going to weigh us down heavily. If Vatrano gets the spot and scores 15goals and 20 assists it doesn't really help us that much as it makes resigning him more difficult. It's up to Cassidy to decide the better player, but Sweeney could get pressure from Mr. Jacobs to give his bigger investments a bigger role.</div></div>
It was at developmental camp. He did mention Cehlarik as being injured and not sure where he's at in his recovery. The Spooner trade was just a guess on return. But it definitely sounds like he's gone. Vatrano/Beleskey can go either way. My guess is training camp/pre-season games will determine that.
