Eichel to Music City

I'd say they're definitely a healthy Eichel away from the playoffs, maybe second round, but definitely not as legitimate contenders, but they'd have to be willing to give up a number of assets to contend and I don't see them flipping the switch like that. Also hard to see them able to contend with either of Johansen or Duchene on the roster as the contracts are quite large for their value. With that said, I think it'd be better for Nashville if they stripped it down further and built around Tomasino, Glass, Askarov, Tolvanen, Trenin, Kunin, Fabbro, Myers, etc.
They should commit fully and trade Forsberg and Ekholm with 50% retained. The return on those two would be huge. Josi will be around to guide them and is signed long term and Saros is young enough to play with that core for a while and could be traded if Askarov establishes himself. If they target 4 years, they could even trade Johansen with 50% retained and turn him into a decent asset.

Giving Sam the C
Flames aren't giving up an all-star winger, a 1st, a recent first, Mangiapane and a couple 3rds for Eichel.
Tkachuk, a 1st and Pelletier should be more than enough.

Roster Shakeup
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>PubGoatHead</b></div><div>Would argue that Kuemper is indeed that substantial asset. Even at 31 Kuemper is very very good, and would be a fantastic tandem with Ullmark. Olofsson is great on the PP, but almost becomes a ghost at 5v5. Yotes need the scoring, and Sabres desperately need a 1a-1b type of goalie situation.</div></div>
That’s the idea.....and that’s my thinking....Kuemper is pretty substantial but I want Crouse in the deal as well because we need a player like him and maybe if Granato is coach he can get something more out of him offensively to help him reach his ceiling if Donny gets the job. But, Kuemper is a legit number one and Buffalo can afford to take him and they have the draft capital they want to acquire as well.....granted I’m sure zona wants back in the first round but pick 33 is pretty damn close and it gets them right back into the draft. It’s not a bad return for Olafsson and Bryson to get a legit number one goalie and some muscle. There are some former members of the Sabres front office scouting staff in Arizona so I’m sure they’d be interested in taking a look at Olafsson and Bryson.
I don’t want to trade Bryson but with Owen Power coming in potentially, the Sabres have a ton of young defenseman....I think it will be a challenge for him to crack the lineup

I feel like Torts would snap at Ristolainen 50 times a game.
