Forget his age Why not consider markstrom
It's hard to ignore age when it sounds like the Flames want an elite goaltender return for him (something like #10 OV pick in value) or as close as possible. I think the price will come down eventually, but Conroy probably has up to the TDL to move him unless Markstrom wants something done in the off-season. Markstrom will likely be viewed as a two-year rental by teams and I think the reduced price Conroy would seek is something like 1st+2nd+3rd/4th in value but may settle for 1st+2nd/3rd/4th. Whatever the price a 1st+ for a goaltender is not a price to scoff at, teams won't exactly be lining up to pay that even if you ignore age.
I do think there are several types of teams that in theory could be interested, but when you consider the teams' cap situation, or need for their future assets, etc it might not be the best idea to give up a 1st+ for him.
1) A team that needs goalie help
-LA: Expectations: Make playoffs/building a perennial contender, Urgency: medium, Cap: limited, Assets: Abundant, Chances of a trade: Unlikely
-OTT: Expectation: Make playoffs, Urgency: medium to high (#7 may want out), Cap: limited, Assets: effectively limited (need to forfeit a 1st in the next 2-years, most of their valuable pieces they'll want to keep), Obstacle: Need to move Korpisalo, Chances of a trade: Unlikely
-WSH: Make playoffs & hope to win, Urgency: high (aging core on last legs), Assets: limited and needed (on verge of a rebuild/retool), Obstacle: Need to move Kuemper, Chances of a trade: Highly unlikely
2) A team that already has their potential future starting goalie and may want help
-Buf: Expectation: Make the playoffs, Urgency: High (GM's job may be on the line), Cap: Abundant, Assets: Surplus, Chances of a trade: Decent (if their goalies struggle)
-CBJ: Expectation: Make the Playoffs (not urgent), Cap: Abundant, Assets: Surplus, Obstacle: Need to move Merzlikins, Chances of a trade: Low to Medium
-Edm: Expectation: Win the Cup, Urgency: Very High (#29 and #97 may walk in FA/request a trade) Cap: very limited, Assets: Normal amount but they do need homegrown talent Obstacle: Need to move Campbell, Chances of a trade: Highly unlikely
-NJ: Expectation: Make the playoffs/build a perennial contender, Urgency: Medium, Cap: available, Assets: Surplus, Chances of a trade: High (if they need goaltending still)
-Tor: Expectation: Win the Cup, Urgency: High (need to make most of the 4 years #34 is under contract), Cap: limited (they similar cap to NJ but priority needs to be given to spending on defense), Futures: limited, Chances of a trade: Decent
3) A team that is trying to become competitive and is looking to add good players but not necessarily looking for a goalie at all
SEA: Expectations: Make the playoffs, Urgency: Low to medium, cap: abundant, assets: abundant, chances of a trade: unlikely
UTAH: Expectations: Make the playoffs, Urgency: Low to medium, cap: abundant, assets: abundant, chances of a trade: unlikely
4) A team that has a top goalie and a goalie of the future that may look to make changes between the pipes
CAR: Expectations: Win the Cup, Urgency: High, Cap: available but have more needs, assets: likely not available for a goalie (management is frugal), Obstacles: Need to find a buyer for Andersen, Chances of a trade: highly unlikely
Markstrom's NMC also can't be ignored and also the trade protection of the other goalies mentioned. Even with retention, a lot of the teams would have difficulty adding a 4M+ goalie if they address their biggest needs, without other trades. From what I recall the goalie UFA class this year is particularly weak, but a lot of those teams would be fine with tandems so that could be more appealing than paying the assets to acquire Markstrom. CGY also has competition on the trade market with Ullmark potentially being available and Gustavsson being on the block (a good tandem option).
Edit: Detroit is another team that can probably fall under 1, they would need to move Husso. Yzerman is frugal though so he won't be giving up a huge haul for him.

I feel like Guentzel wouldn't be the same player that he is today if he never played with Crosby. The goalies are bound to have developed differently, for better or for worse. Could probably say the same about many of the other players especially those who were later picks.

Kadri's contract isn't bad. It'd make more sense to trade for PLD or Huberdeau to play them together than to trade them for each other.

Quoting: Cub19

Vasi and buck looking like Swiss cheese haha.

40+ shots a game, is Hellebuyck playing great? No, his expected goals against so far this series is 12.7 though. Vasilevskiy has not been bad at all. Him and Bob have been equally as good
If Markstrom is traded this summer it will almost certainly be with retention, but again if Colorado wasn't so desperately tight on cap space they would take Markstrom for a 2nd in a heartbeat

Markstrom
Cory Schneider was 27 when he was traded, and posted a .927, .929, and .937 save percentages the three years before he was traded.
Markstrom is 34 if he is traded this offseason, and has had .892, .905, and .922 save percentages the past three years.
I don't see the comp at all?
Perhaps a better comp would be Marc-Andre Fleury to the Wild
Flower was 36 when he was traded. He had posted .905, .908, and .928 save percentages the three years prior. The return was a conditional second that become a first if Minnesota made the conference finals and Fleury had 4 wins in the first two rounds.
Or Cam Talbot to Ottawa for Filip Gustavvson
Talbot was 34 at the time of the trade and had recorded .911, .915, and .919 save percentages the previous three years. Gustavvson was a recent second round draft pick. I don't know team's prospect pools well enough to give a comparable player, but let's assume it's a second.
The market rate for good, aging goalies seems to be right around a second. Not a top 10 pick or a team's best prospect.

Yes, everyone always thinks it's hilarious that Habs fans want a fair return for our players. Nothing new there.

When did 31 points equate to 60+? Hell it's barely half ROFLMFAO, math is hard for you isn’t it?!
Barrie was traded for Ekholm hence the need to attach a 1st and top prospect. The trade was technically 2 1sts and a replacement for Ekholm but the Oilers needed to attach cap as well so they added Barrie in much the same way that Vegas added Tatar in the Patches deal. A player is attached as a cap offset isn't the same as a player traded with a 1st to dump his contract. I just love reading your posts they make me laugh every time with how little you know about hockey and how you try to sound intelligent but utterly fall short.
Matheson has 32 even strength points this season and 28 PP points. He starts 55% of the time in the defensive zone and leads the team in blocked shots (tied with Guhle at 178) but you know he is bad defensively and is only a PP specialist and not worth more than a 3rd! ROFLMFAO, tell me you know nothing about the game of hockey, without telling me you know nothing about the game of hockey!
You should really stop while your reputation is somewhat salvageable!

Except… Matheson has among the top 5 toughest competition among defensemen. He plays real minutes at 5v5 not just munchkins unlike the others you named.
Suggesting he’s not worth more than a 3rd is not knowing anything about the player sorry.
