Pavelski would probably take less money than he could get somewhere else to stay with San Jose, and he'll get way more than 3M per year with SJ anyway. They also might give him at least 4 years.

Trade 1: Too much for Nyquist.
Trade 2: Not too bad, depends how Vanek plays.
Trade 3: Even though this is the last year of his deal, no, you can't just get rid of a bad contract to a team like Winnipeg who a) doesn't need him and b) has some cap problems (if i'm correct) and get a pick+ in return.
Trade 4: This one could work if Chicago wants more depth in the lineup on forward.
Trade 5: NJ doesn't need Helm, especially if they've already traded for Vanek.
Trade 6: IMO there's no way Carolina does that. Faulk is way better than Abdelkader if you ask me.
Trade 7: Overpayment for Green if you ask me.
Trade 8: It could work.
So some of the trades are okay, but a lot of them seem to only be helping Deroit in my opinion.</div></div>
Its mostly all to clear spots for kids. Plenty of plugs in the lineup.

Update Idea: Multi-Year Armchair GM posts
In armchair GM I see lots of posts with multiple parts (ex: part 1 is 2018-2019, part 2 is 2019-2020, part 3 is 2020-2021, etc)
Why not combine these multi-season posts into 1 post? if Capfriendly allowed armchair GM teams to span multiple seasons it would be much easier to keep track of the season-to-season progress. Currently if you wanted to make a "part 2" you would need to create a new armchair GM team for the next year and 'redo' all signings/trades from part 1 since they would not be saved. With multi-season posts, capfriendly could keep track of the signings/trades from the first season and just decrease the term remaining on all contracts by 1.

:laugh :laugh Sure dude, It's only one player per team. And you've both Abdelkader and Nielsen from Detroit. Fat chance either one of them ends up in Seattle.
