Rebuild Part Two. Please Comment.
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Phil2893</b></div><div>You said rebuilt but you sign Eric Staal</div></div>
If the Habs were smart, they would get their rebuild going as fast as possible while their players have max trade value.
Between Carey Price, Shea Weber and Patches, the team can get quite the haul full of draft picks and prospects.
After that happens, they will be in cap heaven and can take bad contracts in order to get even more draft picks.
Examples (Jason Speeza, Andrew MacDonald, Bobby Ryan)

Krejci's much needed blanket (i.e. Simmonds) - Flyers fans comment? Part 3 (JT)
Well if Simmonds does insist of getting over 5,000,000 a mil, i could see the Flyers singing him to a contract up until they need the cap space to sing the young guys (Konecy, Provrov, Patrick) and then trading Simmonds for a pretty decently high draft pick.

I'm all for trading Weise and maybe taking on a bad contract in order to get draft picks this year. (We have the cap room and plus we probably won't go all in for Johnny T or Carlson)
But i think that Dallas trade will most likely not go through, Also i'm not too big on Roussel. I think the Flyers with try and sign free agent Riley Nash and/or Andrej Sustr instead.

All ya'll fools think flyers gonna trade into top 5...
Riley Nash is going to be signed for like 3,000,000 a year.
Hagg deserves a little more than 1,500,000 maybe 2,250,000
Also there is a good chance that Frost will be cracking the 3rd line center and Raffl would be the odd man out, with Simmonds moving to LW and Nash moving to RW

One of my many mock Flyers off seasons. Comment.
As a Flyers fan and a Wayne Simmonds fan, i can say that Simmonds had an off year but was battling so many injuries. He also got demoted to the third line sometimes. I think this year whenever the top 9 forwards get better and he has better line mates, stays healthy and battling for a new contract extension, we will put up some pretty good numbers compared to last years (which wasn't even bad, tbh) I think Simmonds could get a 4,500,000 a year contract for 3-4 years.
As for Weal i think we could get more for the guy. Maybe not straight up just Weal, also add in Raffl or a draft pick and get a 3rd round pick. The Canucks is another team that would make an offer to get Weal, they tried to get him when he was a free agent, he is a young guy and his play style fits in their system.

I'm a Flyers fan and can tell you that if we ever did trade Simmonds, his new team should not be offering 6.5mil a year.
He's got heart, the size and the attitude. But other than that, not much. His shooting and passing ability is average and i would think that he's only worth about 4,650,000 a year.
He was playing the entire season with many many injuries and even forgot some of the ones he had when the interviewers were asking him about them,
Also i'm not sure who the players are in the trade coming to philly are, but when trade rumors were happening with Simmonds it was suggested that a package deal could be made with him to get a first round pick.
Example: Simmonds, A 3rd round pick and a low-mid tier prospect for a top 15th overall pick.
Also Boston and Philly have two of the best prospect pools in the whole league and if they ever traded in recent years i could see philly trading one of our goalie prospects to you guys such as Anthony Strolaz or Felix Sandstorm.

Riley Nash is the key 2018-2019
Good point, And Sustr is Gudas's replacement who's bigger in size, has a harder shot and gets more points per game.
For the Jeff Skinner trade (I'm not sure if it refreshed in time, I changed it to the ARZ trade that seemed a little more realistic
For Carter Hart, You can never be too sure. The dude just won goaltender of the year for CHL and WHL two years in a row. People are comparing him to Carey Price..
