The Boston Pizza Re-Tool

Well it's Marner+ or did you not read the proposal and just jump down the guy's throat?

I really like that Marner trade. The Devils get unequivocally the best player in the deal. And they give up Meier who will have a ridiculous next contract because of the RFA qualifying rules and Nemec helps balance out the value. Plus, Robertson is really good for the Devils and would slot in nicely to provide some good scoring for the team. Filip Kral is a decent depth option for them too

3-way Marner trade
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>JusticeWinslow1</b></div><div>Can a 3 way have all teams say no?
Ana - I'm guessing to give up the 2OA they would need three firsts or a prospect and 2 firsts.
Tor - Fantilli would be fun for Toronto but i don't think they are giving up Marner for just that pick. Again they would want a "now" piece as well. Even if it's more of a cap dump type player since they will save on the $.
PHX - not sure even paying down the contract they will find 2 x 1sts. Why don't they just try and land fantilli with those picks? Or 2OA and a contract dump?</div></div>
Arizona needs to show they can win and aren't just a dumpster franchise so getting multiple trade pieces back that can play in the NHL or are close to playing in the NHL (think of maybe the Jack Eichel trade) will help prove that. Toronto can always add onto what Anaheim would be getting with the 28th pick of the draft if need be. Anaheim needs good prospects. They have some elite guys, but they need multiple good prospects and this would help. They'd be getting 6 and 12 at least if they were to take the trade and that would tremendously help them out in two spots, rather than one. The drop-off after Fantilli in this draft is not that high from 2 to 6, so it's not like they're giving up that much. As for Toronto, they would be getting someone that can help make sure they remain competitive and who is under team control. Maybe it's worse for the first year (but maybe not considering Fantilli had a 60+ NHLe score in his draft year and that would likely go up in his D+1 when he's actually in the NHL or maybe it's fine. The Leafs would be better in a year for sure and that would help keep Matthews and Nylander for the long-term.

3-way Marner trade
Anaheim gets multiple first-round picks (6 and 12) in a deep draft to fill out their futures cupboard the way they need it to be filled, Arizona gets Marner and can flip him for much more than they gave up if they retrain half his salary for the remaining two years since Marner won't enact his NMC to stay in AZ, and Toronto gets a new look in Fantilli at C.

Marner is much better than Meier and the difference of that plus Robertson and a first make up for Nemec.

This would be an off-season move, so the lower-limit central registry issues don't exist
