I like that deal. I like Faksa and especially on 1.1 mil contract. Thats a nice move right there!

Yanni Gourde has to go b4 July 1
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>BOLTLOVER1</b></div><div>A 30M NTC cntract for a 27 year rookie one dimensional forward with ONE full year experience and 70 career polnts?. .. that normal? .. beg to differ .. particularly on a team where 4 other people have same stats and 3 have much beter ones .. all in same age group!!!! .. with that said he will be a top 6 forward for years in Arizona hence the 2nd round also
New Tampa GM deserves an F this year .. Gourde contract .. no deals at trade deadline cause team was soooooo good .. and worst to me .. extending Cooper BEFORE THE FREAKIN playoffs .. what a regular season loser this guy is ..</div></div>
There's some direct comparisons for Gourde's contract in the league - Teräväinen for instance. Got a big contract after a 64 point season during two year bridge deal, exact same that Gourde did. There's nothing wrong in that contract.
You're probably the saltiest person in the entire planet... Chill the f*ck out, man.

I know the Islanders aren't doing much with Ho-Sang and they don't seem to like him all that much but I doubt they'd take Ritchie in return. He's useless, but who knows maybe Im wrong.

I would like to see Ferland with Faksa. Rous seemed to give Faksa that hateful edge, and I think Ferland could do the same.

All unhappy people that judge by number of points he produced, need to remember this is not Fantasy Hockey. There are other aspects to the player evaluation than just points.

Looks decent. My only concern is that I don’t like almost 10 mill being wrapped up in the 4th line. Could get something cheaper imo

If you don't watch games you gotta count on statistics and comparisons. That's how I roll anyway. And because I live in Europe I need to do that a lot lol

Kapanen and Niskanen
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>rja40</b></div><div>I'm not arguing against your position, but it always seems "Leafs decline" on any trade that they aren't raping the trade partner. I think there's a bit of overvaluing that goes on in Toronto (but probably among other cities too).</div></div>
totally get you, but let's look at this trade for a second. Kapanen is a great two way forward, something the leafs need, with 20 goals and 22 assists and only getting better he has value. now, gurianov is a decent prospect and kinda reminds me of a Trevor Moore, not up to Kapanen value but ok. Mascherin is also a decent prospect, at 20 getting 40 points in the AHL is an achievement, but think about this, Mascherin is a left wing, one of the places the leafs do not need more prospects in, with Engvall, Marchment, Timashov, and Carcone all putting up numbers, if anything they'll try and sell some of these prospects in packages to try and get an RHD. So yeah totally get you but not what the leafs need, and when selling guys like Kappy, they got to get something that will help them 100%

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>rja40</b></div><div>Great seven game series. Coming from a guy who's watched the Blues for close to 50 years, you guys have a great team yet I'd like to make a recommendation. Dallas should be in the hunt for a strong playoff run, but the thing that really hurt you guys over the seven game series was the lack of much physicality from your defensemen. You have some seriously high-skilled defenders, but none of them really stood anyone up at the blue line or knocked the crap out of any of our forwards. The main reason the Blues won that series was due to offensive zone possession. Dallas simply couldn't knock us off the puck in your zone. I think adding Stralman looks good on paper, but won't address your major need. I'd look to see if Philly was willing to move Gudas. He's exactly what you guys need.</div></div>
I would like to think that if we had one more top six that was a true threat, we would put you on your heels a little more. As for defensemen... Johns would have looked good in this series. I’m curious if he will be good to go next year.
It will be an interesting off-season for us!
