The Canucks have zero interest in trading away draft picks. We also dont need Marc Staal.

Offseason moves
That's a very interesting trade for Montreal. Although I don't believe that Montreal needs RNH simply because we have enough depth and skill at forward. We need to focus on the defense.

Acquiring McDavid during offseason and more
i just dont think NYR has the piece to make it all come together .
maybe with Anderson , Lexmieux they are great pieces and the picks are great but this is Mcjesus , you need more if we're being honest.
now if this exact trade was done on draft day with NYR getting a top 3 pick guaranteed then sure because in Hughes they could get that Elite Star Needed , Same with Kakko and many good 3rd pick options.

Love the forward lines, but what the hell is Biega doing on your top D pair? We need to upgrade that position, I hope we sign Stralman.

Motte > Eriksson any time of the day.

Yeah I agree that Green had no choice. But making your NHL debut against a red hot team that happens to be a division leader is not a fun way to start. I think that Green should have recalled Leighton instead. He has NHL experience as a starter and wouldn’t have suffered as badly. DiPietro is still our future backup/starter, but he has at least 2 years to go before he should play in the NHL.

Absolutely not. Virtanen is developing and Stetcher is one of our most underrated defensemen. I'd rather hold on to the younger, cheaper players.

Yeah there's no way anyone takes these trades, Granlund's not even worth a second. Schaller is like the 13th FWD no way worth a third. Edler one is weird like you said, and Toronto doesn't need another LHD let alone giving up a 2nd for Hutton.

Honestly I think Edmonton is better off trading McDavid away for the massive haul someone would give for him. Yes, he's the best in the game and is a generational player, but I imagine he isn't too happy wasting his career on a team that isn't relevant

Doing a heck - Trades with WSH TBL VAN EDM CHI
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Strobez</b></div><div>I love how you're able to put those tiny details like the pick #s into the trades. Honestly, these trades are all pretty accurate, and not only did this provide DAL some depth scoring, it also gives them some extra picks in the process. Regarding the VAN trade, Stecher is a pretty good 2nd pair RHD who can create some offense. Maybe if you make it a 4th RD conditional pick (condition being if DAL advances to playoffs than they send over their 3rd RD pick instead to VAN). Overall, excellent job, I'd give this 5 stars if i could.</div></div>
I’d do that! And thank you!

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Strobez</b></div><div>I honestly wouldnt do that Edler trade. We needs picks and prospects in return. Alzner is a deal breaker in that proposal. I dont think PIT will trade a 2nd rounder for a 3rd line centre. WSH will defintely say no to that trade, and that CBJ trade is unique. Tryamkin wont sign with VAN, especially during this season. Juolevi isnt playing this season, so u can take him out of the lineup</div></div>
Just spitballing ideas, likely nothing will happen but one can wish. MTL could use a player on the left side, could you imagine him with Webber? I can Absolutely see Tryampkin signing, I think his issues were with Willy and Juolevi is there just for hope for the future.

Secondary Scoring
I think Ty Dellandrea is a good Starting point for this deal. He's young and he could be the answer to the lack of Right hand shots in the organization. If he shifted over to RW, that would go a long way for prospect depth on that side.
That said, there are a few pieces that don't quite work for Ottawa. I think I'm going to fiddle around with this idea and see if I can make it make more sense from an Ottawa perspective.
It's a very interesting idea though!

Murphy is better than Zaitsev with a cheaper cap hit. It's not a bad trade for TOR as they get Sikura in return to replace Johnsson next season. Brown has 16 points this season and has found himself on line 4. He won't be missed.

Toronto
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>PenGoater99</b></div><div>Your argument loses all value when you bring up +/-, it's the most useless stat ever, and using points to evaluate a defender may be even dumber. I'll admit that Murphy plays tough minutes, but if he's so good, shouldn't he excel in said minutes? Shouldn't he post a better xGA in the 35th percentile? Shouldn't his high PDO correlate to somewhat better results? Murphy isn't that good, there's no other way to look at it.</div></div>
You're clearly not watching games. Murphy has been pretty clearly a shut down guy for the Hawks. I'm not an advocate whatsoever to give him up. From the last 100 games he's played versus the last 30 games he's played, it's night and day difference in his ability. And yes, +/- is an important stat as it relates to defenders with more focus on the minus side. He's a solid 2nd liner for all but the best defensive teams in the league, and guess what, TOR is hardly one of those top defensive teams. They could use him in spades especially on the right side hands down. Now whether you think the trade is fair is a different story but to say Murphy isn't that good is simply ignorance.
